News: 1 day agoLovett (abdomen) is expected to be sidelined for one to two weeks, Benjamin Raven of MLive.com reports.
Spin: "Lovett may be 10 days," coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday. "I mean it's just going to take a minute." The seventh-round rookie wide receiver was injured in practice earlier this week after playing 36 offensive snaps in last week's Hall of Fame Game against the Chargers, where Lovett collected five catches for 31 yards on nine targets. He's certain to miss Friday's preseason contest against the Falcons.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Lovett was selected by Detroit in the seventh round of April's draft. He is an undersized, short-area/slot target who averaged 11.5 YPR and 7.7 aDOT during his 53 collegiate games. He saw 276 career targets, 14.6% of which were screens (second highest in this WR class). He has the look of a depth receiver/special teamer and isn't a fantasy option.
