ESPN Fantasy Projection: A so-so, albeit illness-influenced combine showing dropped Franklin to Day 3 of the NFL draft, where the Broncos eagerly traded up to select him 102nd overall. His final season at Oregon was stellar, including 14 receiving touchdowns (third in FBS) and 17.1 yards per reception, hinting at a potentially elite perimeter receiver with big-play ability. Franklin provides competition for that role with Marvin Mims Jr. -- a much-touted prospect who had a disappointing rookie campaign -- a battle that should be closely watched during the preseason.
