News: 5 days agoJones completed 31 of 50 passes for 342 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Steelers. He added three rushes for four yards and an additional touchdown to go along with two lost fumbles.

Spin: Jones looked to be on his way to another efficient day, as he went 5-for-9 for 73 yards and a rushing score on the Colts' first possession. However, he struggled with negative plays for much of the game, taking five sacks in addition to his five turnovers. Jones managed to pad his stats with a few long drives in the fourth quarter, one of which concluded with a four-yard touchdown pass to Josh Downs. This marked Jones' first significant struggle of the season, and he'll now lead the Colts into a Week 10 matchup against the Falcons.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jones signed with the Colts and beat out Anthony Richardson for the team's starting job. The 2019 first-round pick struggled with injuries (zero full seasons) and ineffectiveness (career 6.5 YPA) during six seasons with the Giants. After throwing 24 touchdowns in 13 games as a rookie, Jones totaled 45 pass TDs in 57 games the following five seasons. He finished one season better than 15th in fantasy PPG and that eighth-place finish in 2022 was primarily a product of big-time rushing (120-708-7). The 28-year-old isn't going to move the needle as a passer, but he could land on the streaming radar due to his legs (60-plus carries in four of the last five seasons). Especially considering that early struggles could lead to a benching in favor of Richardson, Jones is, at best, a QB2 only worth drafting in superflex.
