News: 2 days agoWatson hauled in both of his targets for 22 yards during Sunday's 26-25 win over the Bengals.

Spin: Watson made the most of his limited opportunities and has reeled in each of the three passes thrown his way through two games. That said, he played less than half the offensive snaps (45 percent) in Sunday's contest and has just three targets through two games. As has been the case for Watson in recent seasons, the wideout seems slated to play a regular role that doesn't figure to amount to fantasy relevance in most league formats.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: What was a career year for Watson in terms of fantasy points (89.0) was more illustrative of the Chiefs' struggles at the wide receiver position than anything. The sixth-year role player committed a ghastly six drops (position-worst 11.1% drop rate among players with at least 50 targets), caught a mere 50% of his targets (second worst), committed a fumble and averaged 1.4 yards per target. Just twice all season did he manage double-digit fantasy points. Watson returns as positional depth for the Chiefs, nevertheless, but he's unlikely to make much of a fantasy impact, except in a desperate circumstance for the team.
