NBA free agency: Cap space and roster breakdowns for every team

After a week, the biggest moves in NBA free agency are mostly complete. A potential Russell Westbrook trade looms, and teams will still have to make roster decisions between now and the start of the season. But with the biggest stars now committed to new or old teams, where does each franchise stand?

Let's run through all 30 teams, with breakdowns on summer transactions, cap space, potential moves, available exceptions and depth charts.

Note: Depth charts include expected roles for players under contract for 2019-20.

By acquiring Walker in a sign-and trade, Boston is subject to the hard cap and cannot exceed the $138.9 million tax apron.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Summer transactions: Darius Garland (draft), Kevin Porter Jr. (draft) and Dylan Windler (draft)

Room over the tax: $11.4 million

The Cavaliers will go under the luxury tax once they either waive or trade JR Smith. The shooting guard has $4.3 million guaranteed out of his $15.7 million contract. The team has until Aug. 1 before the full amount is guaranteed. If Smith is waived and stretched over three seasons, Cleveland will be $2.9 million below the tax.


Dallas Mavericks

Summer transactions: Kristaps Porzingis (free agent), Maxi Kleber (free agent), Dorian Finney-Smith (free agent), Seth Curry (free agent), Boban Marjanovic (free agent), Delon Wright (free agent via sign-and-trade) Dwight Powell (extension) and Isaiah Roby (draft)

Because Seth Curry signed for greater than $5.7 million of the midlevel exception, Dallas is subject to the hard cap and cannot exceed the $138.9 million tax apron.
