Miami Heat: B

After starting 55 games for the Heat last season, Babbitt was left out when Miami filled out its roster over the summer. He landed in Atlanta, where he'd been in and out of the rotation. With replacement Kelly Olynyk sidelined indefinitely by a shoulder strain, the Heat saw fit for a less heralded reunion.

Because of his superior size and defense, Olynyk is the better option, but Babbitt can supply similar spacing as a combo forward. He's a career 41 percent 3-point shooter who has hit 44 percent so far this season. To get Babbitt, the Heat had to give up only White, who's been sidelined since fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his left foot in November and undergoing surgery.

Atlanta Hawks: C

Besides doing Babbitt a solid, I'm not sure I see much benefit to the Hawks from this trade since they immediately waived White. They will save a small amount of money since White's $1.3 million salary was less than Babbitt's $1.5 million deal.
