In May 2025, the San Diego Padres blew out the Colorado Rockies with a 21-0 rout. The game marked the biggest shutout win in Padres history, and tied for the third-biggest shutout MLB win since 1901. With the loss, the Rockies matched the 1988 Baltimore Orioles for the worst 39-game start in the majors since 1900.
