The 20234 Baseball Hall of Fame vote is finally here -- and the results are in.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America announced on Tuesday night that Adrian Beltre, Joe Mauer and Todd Helton are headed to Cooperstown after appearing on the necessary 75% of ballots for election.

Beltre appeared on 95.1% of ballots and Helton was the second-highest finisher at 79.7%, followed by Mauer at 76.1%. Billy Wagner (73.8%), Gary Sheffield (63.9%), Andruw Jones (61.6%) and Carlos Beltran (57.1%) were the only other candidates to appear on more than 50% of ballots.

Wagner, who just missed out on election by five votes, has one more year of eligibility, and his induction in 2025 seems likely after he jumped from 51% in 2022 to 68% in 2023 to nearly 74% in 2024.

That, however, is not the case for Sheffield, who, after failing to reach the 75% threshold in his 10th and final year on the ballot, will not be elected into the Hall of Fame via the BBWAA vote and instead must hope for induction from a special committee in the years to come.

Jim Leyland was elected to the Hall of Fame in December by the contemporary baseball era committee and will join the BBWAA electees at induction weekend, which is July 19-22 in Cooperstown.
