Led by Pardeep Narwal, aka the Dubki King, UP Yoddhas begins its Pro Kabaddi League season 9 (PKL 9) campaign against Jaipur Pink Panthers on October 7 at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru.

Pardeep had a topsy-turvy season last time as he struggled with niggles, but will be expected to come out all guns blazing this season. He has plenty of support in the raiding team in Surender Gill, who stepped up in fine fashion when Pardeep was out injured, and Nitin Tomar. They will also have the services of James Namaba Kamweti, the assistant captain of the Kenyan kabaddi team.
