Galatasaray have completed a deal to sign Germany winger Leroy Sané from Bayern Munich on a three year contract, the Turkish Super Lig champions announced Thursday.

Galatasaray said that Sané would be paid a guaranteed annual salary of €9 million ($10.4 million) per season, along with a net loyalty bonus of €3 million ($3.5 million) per season. He will officially join Galatasaray on July 1 as a free agent, with his Bayern deal expiring at the end of June.

Before then, Bayern said that Sané would be available to play for them at the Club World Cup in the United States..

In the group stage, Bayern will take on Auckland City (June 15), Boca Juniors (June 21) and Benfica (June 24). If they make it past the group stage, Bayern would face a round of 16 game on June 28 or June 29.

"If the player then gets another offer and accepts it, that's absolutely normal," Bayern sporting director Max Eberl told reporters Thursday. "It's legitimate, and the fact that there's no resentment is also shown by the joint decision that he'll still be here for the group games and, possibly, the round of 16 at the Club World Cup."

Sané joined Bayern in 2020, signing a five-year deal from English side Manchester City, where he won the Premier League title in 2018 and 2019.

He has won the Bundesliga four times with Bayern, including the most recent campaign, as well as two DFL-Supercups, one UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup.

Sané posted a video on social media earlier on Thursday bidding farewell to Bayern supporters.

"Dear Bayern fans, after five intense years here in Munich, I've decided to start a new chapter in the upcoming season," he posted on Instagram.

"I'm incredibly proud to have worn the jersey of the best and biggest club in Germany for over 200 matches and will always cherish the titles we've won together.

"Thank you to the club, the coaching staff, everyone behind the scenes, my teammates, and especially you, the fans, for the time we've shared and the memories we've made. I will forever be grateful for my time here Bayern!"

Sané, capped 70 times for Germany, has bagged 61 goals and registered 55 assists in 220 appearances for Bayern in all competitions.
