PRIME-TIME PLAYERS
CHRISSY STEFFEN
You want efficiency? Steffen tied the state record
when she scored 31 points in Carmel's Class 4A
finals victory last year, and she did it on just 12
shots from the field.
KELLY FARIS
Faris has won three state championships at Heritage
Christian, and she's rated No. 34 in the
ESPNU HoopGurlz 100. The UConn commit is also
a national-caliber volleyball player.
ALEX BENTLEY
The No. 17 guard in the ESPNU HoopGurlz 100,
Bentley has the ability to go around defenders
and also go through them with her physical style.
She has committed to Penn State.
SKYLAR DIGGINS
Diggins is rated the top player in the state, and
she's the No. 3 player in the ESPNU HoopGurlz
100. The point guard can score or dish, and her
defense is ferocious.
COACH'S TAKE
AN AREA COACH ON SKYLAR DIGGINS:
"There's no one on our team that can stay in front
of her, and that's an understatement. You have to
have two defenders watching her at all times, at
least. Otherwise, she's going to beat you with the
dribble every time down the floor."
