Fantasy basketball picks and betting tips for Monday's NBA games

ESPN's fantasy basketball daily cheat sheet is your pregame destination before you set your lineups for that night's games. Here you'll read our best advice for the night, including a selection of players you can stream as well as game-by-game injury reports.

What you need to know for Monday

We've got a busy night of action to start off the week with 10 NBA games on tap. For those in weekly fantasy leagues, this week is noteworthy because there are only six days with games this week. There are no games scheduled on Thanksgiving, so make sure you plan accordingly.

On Monday, there are two games pitting teams with winning records both vying for early season seeding. The Cleveland Cavaliers take on the surprising Toronto Raptors, and the winner will end the night as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Out West, the two teams involved in the Kevin Durant blockbuster this summer face off with the Houston Rockets just a half-game ahead of the Phoenix Suns in the standings. Durant will miss the game for a personal matter, the first game he'll have missed this season. The Suns have been without Jalen Green, the centerpiece of that deal from their side, for most of the season.

Another interesting element is that in seven of the 10 games, the home team is the underdog. In fact, in their Parlay Lounge, ESPN BET points out an example three-leg parlay entitled "Home Court Dogs" where betting on the Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings to all win on the moneyline gives longshot odds of +7714 ... about 77 to 1.

Monday's fantasy stream team

Derik Queen, C, New Orleans Pelicans (rostered in 42.8% of ESPN leagues): The way Queen is playing, he won't be available for streaming for much longer. Queen has dropped at least 20 points and 7 rebounds in three straight games, including a double-double ... a points-assists double-double, and is quickly becoming the young centerpiece of the Pelicans. If he maintains this level, Queen will soon play himself into the Rookie of the Year discussion.

Collin Gillespie, PG, Phoenix Suns (26.8%): Gillespie has been a consistent shooter-scorer for the Suns with Grayson Allen out, notching at least 15 points and nine combined rebounds and assists in four straight games while playing 31.3 MPG off the bench. Allen didn't play on Sunday, and at present there is no word if he is playing on Monday, but Gillespie is in a groove and if he gets another 30 minutes he should continue to put up fantasy starter numbers.

Zach Edey, C, Memphis Grizzlies (39.8%): Edey has been back for four games, and has settled in as a walking double-double. Edey has averaged 12.3 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 2.0 BPG and 1.3 SPG in only 25.3 MPG. He will face the biggest challenge in the NBA on Monday with Nikola Jokic in his path, but if he can stay out of foul trouble, Edey should be in line to challenge for a double-double even against elite opposition.

Vince Williams Jr., SG/PG, Memphis Grizzlies (8.9%): Williams has taken over as the starting point guard for the Grizzlies with Ja Morant out and is a triple-double threat on a nightly basis. In his most recent three starts, he's averaged 9.3 PPG, 10.0 APG and 8.0 RPG.

Dre's bets for Monday

Brandon Ingram Over 21.5 total points (-115)

Ingram has been in his scoring bag of late, dropping 22 or more points in three of his past four games. He also could be in for a larger role on Monday with RJ Barrett doubtful with a knee injury suffered on Sunday. The Raptors have the chance for a signature win, and they will be depending on Ingram to have a strong game to try to win their eighth straight game.

Jalen Brunson Over 27.5 total points (-110)

Brunson came back from a two-game injury absence as though he never missed any time, totaling 61 points in two games last week. In fact, Brunson has scored at least 28 points in four straight games and is averaging 31.0 PPG in that span. He only scored 19 points the last time he faced the Brooklyn Nets in the Garden, in large part because the New York Knicks won by 36 and Brunson played fewer minutes than normal. The Nets have been more competitive since that game, not losing any game by more than 14 points despite a challenging stretch. If they keep it just a bit more competitive this time around, Brunson is likely to go over his scoring line.

Vince Williams Jr. to record a double double +450

This is a value play because the likelihood it occurs is much better than the relatively longshot odds. Williams has started three straight games, and in those games he has notched one double-double while averaging almost a triple-double. In those three games, he has two with at least 10 points, two with at least nine rebounds and two with at least nine assists. Plus, his Monday opponents, the Nuggets, rank in the bottom-10 in the NBA in both rebounds and assists allowed to opposing point guards.

Reed Sheppard Over 18.5 total points

I had high expectations for Sheppard coming into this season, and after a slow start he has quietly stepped up into the shooter-scorer role the Rockets have for him. He has scored at least 16 points off the bench in five of his last seven games, including his career-high 27 against the Nuggets on Friday. With Durant out, Sheppard may move into the starting lineup and, whether he starts or not, is likely to be relied upon by the Rockets to help fill the scoring void left by KD's absence. He'll also be facing a Suns defense that is on the second half of a back-to-back and in their third game in the last four games, and thus may have legs too tired to chase Reed off screens all game.

Russell Westbrook Over 27.5 total points, assists and rebounds (-125)

Westbrook has settled in as the starting point guard for the Kings, and when he's starting he's generally filling the points/assists/rebounds stat sheet. He has gone over 27.5 PAR in six of his last nine starts, including a 21-point/11-assist-6-rebound effort on Saturday.
