Target the Milwaukee Bucks for 3-point help in fantasy basketball

Each Monday throughout the fantasy basketball season, we go around the league and identify widely available players (owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues) who can help improve your teams in certain statistical categories.

This week, with the fantasy playoffs either having started or rapidly approaching in virtually every league, we are narrowing our list to those who are playing at least four games over the next seven days.

Here are the ones to target this week, with their ESPN ownership listed:

Points

Dennis Schroder
Position: PG
Atlanta Hawks
Owned: 41 percent

While Schroder isn't playing the amount of minutes you want to see, averaging only 21.1 over the past 10 games, he is making the most of his opportunities on the court and even outplaying Jeff Teague from time to time. Schroder has made 52.9 percent of his shots and has averaged 14.7 points per game during that span.

Lance Stephenson
Position: SG/SF
Memphis Grizzlies
Owned: 17.6 percent

Thrust into a bigger role on his new team in Memphis, Stephenson is back on the fantasy radar. In eight games with the Grizzlies, the versatile swingman has shot 52.6 percent from the field and has averaged 12.5 points in just under 23 minutes per contest.

Rebounds

Kris Humphries
Position: PF
Atlanta Hawks
Owned: 1.8 percent

The veteran power forward is known for his rebounding ability, and he has averaged 17.5 minutes in his first two games on the court with his new team, the Hawks. Expect that to grow as he acquaints himself with the team -- and for Humphries to average from five to seven rebounds for the rest of the season.

Ersan Ilyasova
Position: SF/PF
Orlando Magic
Owned: 26.2 percent

Ilyasova is getting inconsistent minutes on his new team in Orlando, but he continues to make an impact on the glass anyhow. The 6-foot-10 veteran forward has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in two of the past three games and has averaged 5.9 boards in nine games with the Magic.

Assists

Norris Cole
Position: PG
New Orleans Pelicans
Owned: 28.4 percent

Cole (back) is a game-time decision on Monday against Sacramento, but he took part in shootaround and said he was feeling good. Even with Jrue Holiday expected to enter the starting lineup in place of the injured Eric Gordon, Cole is a valuable player in the Pelicans' thin backcourt rotation who has averaged 13.2 points and 6.6 assists in 31.6 minutes over the past five games.

Matthew Dellavedova
Position: PG/SG
Cleveland Cavaliers
Owned: 6.2 percent

Assists are hard to come by on the waiver wire, but Delly is available in nearly 95 percent of ESPN leagues and is a player you can count on to play right around 20 to 25 minutes and dish out three to five assists. That's been the case all season long.

Steals

Wesley Johnson
Position: SG/SF
Los Angeles Clippers
Owned: 5.7 percent

Johnson has averaged 23.4 minutes over the past five games, so he's getting a decent amount of time out on the court. That's the first thing to like about him. The second thing is that he enters the week averaging 1.1 steals and 1.3 3-pointers per game in his sixth NBA season. He's useful in both categories.

Danny Green
Position: SG/SF
San Antonio Spurs
Owned: 40 percent

The return of Manu Ginobili and the addition of Kevin Martin are two factors that don't help Green's fantasy value, but you can still count on the veteran swingman to be a solid contributor in terms of steals (0.9 per game this season), as well as 3-pointers (1.5 per contest in 2015-16).

Blocks

Jeff Green
Position: SF/PF
Los Angeles Clippers
Owned: 39.8 percent

It might seem strange to see Green's name here, but finding shot-blockers who play at least 20 minutes per game isn't easy these days. Green has quietly averaged a block per contest in his first seven games with the Clippers.

3-Pointers

O.J. Mayo
Position: SG
Milwaukee Bucks
Owned: 3.1 percent

Milwaukee is short-handed in the backcourt without Michael Carter-Williams (now out for the season due to hip surgery), and that has only given a boost to Mayo's production. Mayo has shot 42.1 percent from long range and has averaged 1.6 3-pointers over the past five games.

Jerryd Bayless
Position: PG
Milwaukee Bucks
Owned: 14 percent

Like Mayo, Bayless has seen a rise in minutes in the absence of Carter-Williams, averaging 28.3 minutes over the past four games. For a shooter like Bayless, that is huge. He has poured in 1.8 3-pointers per game over that span, averaging 11.8 points along the way.
