Mitch joins Cloud9's VALORANT squad

Provided by Riot Games

Cloud9 announced Wednesday its third pro VALORANT signing, officially welcoming Mitch "mitch" Semago to the roster.

The 23-year-old had competed under the Cloud9 for several tournaments, including the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown and most recently the Pulse Invitational where Cloud9 placed second, but now the arrangement is formal.

Semago joins Tyson "TenZ" Ngo and Skyler "Relyks" Weaver on the team. TenZ was the first to be signed back in mid April, competing with different players (with many fans using the moniker "TenZ and FriendZ" to describe the team), until Relyks was brought aboard on June 24. Two open roster spots remain on C9.

Speculation began that Cloud9 might also be interested in a VALORANT team in South Korea, after two players, Bazzi (a former OWL player with the Hangzhou Spark) and Moothie (a Korean Apex Legends competitor), changed their Twitter bios (and in Bazzi's case sent a tweet) intimating that they were part of Cloud9's VALORANT team. Both have since changed their bios, removing C9 references.
