Dignitas announced on Saturday that top laner Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon will be allowed to explore other options before the start of the League of Legends Championship Series summer split.
Dignitas' $2.3 million guaranteed contract with Huni was the talk of the 2019-20 offseason and affected salaries not only in North America but all major regions. It made him one of the highest-paid players in LCS history.

Huni has been a popular player since his breakout year with Fnatic in 2015. Since then he has played for Immortals, SK Telecom T1 (now T1), Echo Fox and Clutch Gaming before it became Dignitas. Last year, he helped Clutch Gaming claim North America's third seed to the world championship. He is known for his aggressive top lane style and willingness to teleport into any teamfight.

Dignitas finished the spring split in seventh place with an 8-10 record. They narrowly missed the spring playoffs after they were eliminated in a tiebreaker match against sixth-seeded Golden Guardians.
