Zachary "Sneaky" Scuderi confirmed Tuesday that he will not be returning to Cloud9 next year.
Sneaky said during a stream that he was not interested in competing for his starting spot. ESPN's Jacob Wolf reported Monday that fellow veteran AD carry Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen is leaving Team SoloMid for Cloud9.
"I mean, I think it's kind of obvious, but I won't be playing for C9 and I'm not gonna contest for a spot on C9," Sneaky said during the nearly 10-hour stream.
Sneaky, 25, has been with Cloud9 since 2013, when he joined the organization following brief stints with Dignitas and Quantic Gaming.
"I did not want to compete for my spot," he said. "'Cause, to me, it's just like, I would not feel right in that situation. 'Cause then if feels like I'm trying to fight back my spot against people that didn't want me to be there - or with people that didn't want me to be there.
"And I'd pretty much just be blue-balled when I don't think that I deserve that type of treatment, essentially."
Sneaky said he is still weighing his options, including finding a new team to play for in 2020, taking a break or attempting to stream full-time.
