Gen.G release eight players, including CuVee and Peanut

South Korean jungler Han "Peanut" Wang-ho's career took him from Najin to ROX Tigers, SK Telecom T1, Kingzone DragonX and Gen.G. The 21-year-old has been a stable in League of Legends Champions Korea since early 2015. Provided by Riot Games

Gen.G have parted ways with Kim "Asper" Tae-gi and seven other players following the 2019 LoL Champions Korea season.

"We are sad to announce players departure as we enter the offseason," the team tweeted Monday. "... We thank them for everything they've done for the team and send them best wishes to their future."

In addition to Asper, contracts with Gen.G also ended for Lee "CuVee" Seong-jin, Kim "Roach" Kang-hui, Han "Peanut" Wang-ho, Yoon "SeongHwan" Seong-hwan, Song "Fly" Young-jun, Lee "Kuzan" Seong-hyeok and Lee "Rich" Jae-won.

The contracts for Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk and Kim "Life" Jeong-min were extended, with Gen.G saying the team plans to rebuild the roster around them.
