The Atlanta Reign signed Tae-hoon "Edison" Kim for the 2020 season of the Overwatch League, the organization announced via social media late on Tuesday.
"What do you call someone who has a huge hero pool and has just as HUGE pop-offs? You call him @Edison_OW!" the Reign announced from their official Twitter account on Tuesday.
"We are so excited for you to be apart of Atlanta in #OWL2020 and can't wait for what is in store with you as an amazing addition to the roster! WELCOME!"
Edison, who turns 18 on Sunday, most recently competed with GC Busan WAVE and INTRO WAVE.
The Reign elected against picking up the options of Dong-hyeong "Daco" Seo and DPS Ilya "NLaaeR" Koppalov last week following a season in which the team reached the year-end Overwatch League playoffs.
Atlanta began the 2019 season by reaching the Stage 1 playoffs, where it lost 3-1 to the Philadelphia Fusion in the quarterfinals, before struggling in the second and third stages.
The Reign went 7-0 in Stage 4 to grab the final automatic playoff position on a tiebreaker. They upset the eventual league champion San Francisco Shock 4-3 in the first round before they were knocked out following a 4-2 loss to the New York Excelsior and a 4-0 defeat by the Hangzhou Spark.
Meanwhile, the Shanghai Dragons signed free agent Byung-Sun "Fleta" Kim late on Tuesday.
Fleta spent the past two seasons with the Seoul Dynasty and also competed on Team South Korea in the 2018 Overwatch World Cup.
The 20-year-old announced his free agency earlier this year.
The Dragons won the Overwatch League stage three championship this year and finished the season in 11th place.
