The Toronto Defiant announced Thursday that they have released head coach Lee "Bishop" Beom-joon, just weeks before the close of the Overwatch League regular season.
The team announced assistant coaches Matthew "Optidox" Sims and Shim "Mobydik" Seung-bo, along with analyst Dennis "Barroi" Matz, will be the head coaches by committee.
It's yet another change for the Defiant this season, which have seen a number of roster additions. The team has also put together the pickups of Daniel "Gods" Graeser, Andreas "Logix" Berghmans and Liam "Mangachu" Campbell.
Bishop previously coached the London Spitfire and former Overwatch League teams Cloud9 and Cloud9 KongDoo.
In a social media post on Thursday, which he said was his 30th birthday, Bishop acknowledged his departure.
"I think I'll take a little break and pursue alternate career opportunities," he wrote. "Embracing who I am and doing what I enjoy -- interacting with the gaming community."
The Defiant meet the Florida Mayhem on Thursday night.
