Team Liquid continued their dominance of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive circuit by defeating Team Vitality 3-1 in Sunday's $300,000 ESL One Cologne in Germany.

With their fourth consecutive major tournament championship, Liquid also completed the Intel Grand Slam and claimed the $1 million prize that comes with that achievement.

Liquid opened with a 16-6 victory on Overpass. Vitality responded with a 19-17 overtime win on Dust II to even the best-of-five match, but Liquid stormed to the title with a 16-10 win on Inferno and a 16-7 victory on Mirage.

Liquid's streak began at IEM Sydney in May, followed by wins at DreamHack Masters Dallas and ESL Pro League season nine in June.

The final was held in Lanxess Arena, known as the "Cathedral of Counter-Strike," in Cologne.

Two groups of eight teams played the double-elimination group stage from Tuesday to Thursday, followed by the six-team single-elimination playoff bracket, which began Friday.

The initial matches were a single map, with the rest of the matches being best-of-three until the best-of-five final.
