Welcome back to our League of Legends global power rankings. Every week, we look at each team in the five major regions and rank them according to how they are performing.
The NA LCS, EU LCS, LCK and LMS are entering Week 5 of competition. The LPL is entering Week 4. The +/- indicates the change since the previous ranking.

World contenders
1. SK Telecom T1
Record: 8-1 | League: LCK | +/-: --
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots could only go 18-1 in their historic 2007 NFL season, losing only to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl. SK Telecom T1's Kang "Blank" Sun-gu did Tom and the Patriots one better by subbing in while being down 0-1 against archrival KT Rolster to turn the tide and eventually win the series 2-1. This bumps his overall record for 2017 to a perfect 19-0. Next stop: The Undertaker's 21-match win streak at WWE's marquee event WrestleMania. Blank's coming for you, Undertaker.
2. KT Rolster
Record: 7-2 | League: LCK | +/-: --
Once again, KT was on the cusp of taking control of the No. 1 spot in the LCK and defeating SKT T1 in a best-of series. But for the fourth match in a row since KT created a team chock-full of all-stars, three-time world champion SKT defeated the super-team, coming back from a 0-1 deficit to win the series. Through the first game and a half, KT Rolster was the best team in the world; however, per usual, SKT's defense, coupled with its airtight macro, prevailed, and KT could only stare blankly at its screen, wondering what play went wrong that caused the defeat. For KT, it can't afford to do what it did the past split, when it collapsed in back-to-back matches against SKT. If KT wants a legitimate shot at becoming the champion of summer, perseverance after a gut-punch loss is needed.
3. Samsung Galaxy
Record: 7-1 | League: LCK | +/-: --
Kang "Ambition" Chan-yong might just be immortal. The former CJ Entus Blaze mid laner has gone through twists and turns in his career, including a pivotal switch to the jungler role. After being benched for most of the past season, he has returned to captain Samsung to another strong regular-season performance. Engaged and about to be married, nothing would be sweeter as a honeymoon gift than winning the South Korean domestic title for the first time since he was a rookie, all the way back in 2012, when MiG Blaze won the first Champions tournament over sister team MiG Frost.
4. Longzhu Gaming
Record: 6-2 | League: LCK | +/-: --
On the cusp of greatness, Longzhu still lacks that something. A rough series against Afreeca demonstrated that the team seeks new ways to improve, but those new ways don't make Longzhu's teamfight flanks more seamless or provide a stronger sense for when and when not to engage. Longzhu will need more than wins over Winners and Afreeca to break the top three.
5. Afreeca Freecs
Record: 4-4 | League: LCK | +/-: +1
The Afreeca Freecs live and die by leader and former world champion Jang "MaRin" Gyeong-hwan. When MaRin does well -- usually in the first game of matches -- the team soars, and the Freecs look like a club with the cohesion and firepower to contend with the top teams in South Korea. But overall, at least for this split, MaRin has had more poor showings than anything else, and that's a dagger in the side of the Freecs. Out of all top lane starters, MaRin receives a larger chunk of his team's gold than almost anyone, and that doesn't sit well when he also leads all top laners in deaths at 63 through only 23 games.
6. Fnatic
Record: 5-1 | League: EU LCS | +/-: +1
Fnatic's "shoot first, ask questions while shooting" playstyle has made yet another casualty: H2K Gaming. Despite apparent bouts of miscommunication that led to minor setbacks, the team has been able to effectively use Paul "sOAZ" Boyer as a splitpusher (not without some mistakes) and has been able to leverage early skirmishes into unstoppable teamfights.
7. Immortals
Record: 7-1 | League: NA LCS | +/-: +4
Immortals is the hottest team in the NA LCS after defeating both Dignitas and Counter Logic Gaming to earn sole possession of first place. The team is transitioning from being a team that only holds pressure in the laning phase to a powerhouse in the mid-game with decisive teamfight shotcalling. If IMT stays on track, it might just be able to usurp the royalty in North America.
8. Team WE
Record: 4-1 | League: LPL | +/-: +8
The last time WE bested EDward Gaming in a series of any kind, Gao "WeiXiao" Xuecheng still played League of Legends. WE shook off its loss to Snake Esports with strong Jarvan IV combos, reclaiming the throne as the best team in the LPL. It's expected to blow through cross-conference relatively unscathed, but a few lingering draft doubts remain.
9. Unicorns of Love
Record: 4-1 | League: EU LCS | +/-: --
Unicorns of Love continue to rely on mid grouping and collapse compositions to set up for Baron. As a team, they haven't evolved, and it seems unlikely they will as the split wears on. Communication remains strong across the map, and Unicorns abused a flagging G2 to remain stable in the standings.
10. Jin Air Green Wings
Record: 4-4 | League: LCK | +/-: -5
The Green Wings are still a strong team in the LCK, but this week showed that they still struggle to defeat Korean powerhouses, SKT and Samsung. However, Jin Air did show a bit of ingenuity by picking Akali top for Jeon "Ikssu" Iksoo in an attempt to counter Fiora. The Fiora ended up being mid, but the pick remained explosive, and it makes you wonder if Jin Air has more tricks like that up its sleeve.
Playoff contenders
11. H2K Gaming
Record: 4-2 | League: EU LCS | +/-: +3
Some may say that H2K have showcased another disappearing act against Fnatic, but the squad conceded this series due to mistakes of a relatively smaller scale than in the spring split playoffs. H2K's tunnel vision when faced with seemingly ripe objectives or kill situations has proven exploitable by Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas, and so has its apparent neglect of the Rift Herald (31 percent control rate, eighth in the league), which leaves them open to extra pressure.
12. EDward Gaming
Record: 3-2 | League: LPL | +/-: -2
Is Ming "Clearlove" Kai back? EDward Gaming's loss to Team WE proved to be a mind game between junglers, and EDG's once-captain's creative pathing earned them a Game 1 lead. With play-making supports back in vogue, EDG's strength again comes from communication between Clearlove and Tian "Meiko" Ye. EDG should best RNG next week as its Spring rival tests new rosters.
13. Counter Logic Gaming
Record: 6-2 | League: NA LCS | +/-: -1
Counter Logic Gaming is good, maybe even great, but the team won't be happy with its past two weekends. When CLG could have proclaimed itself the leader of the pack in NA and told the world to take notice, it dropped close series to Team SoloMid before losing again, this time 2-0, to the team that has taken the lead in North America, Immortals. Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett is the trump card in all of this; he's been good at times this season, but he's not at his peak performance. If the jungle star can find some consistency with his new teammates, CLG will be in a good spot the next time TSM and Immortals come knocking.
14. Misfits
Record: 4-1 | League: EU LCS | +/-: +5
Welcome to the Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun show. Such would be the introduction of Misfits' performance in the previous week, as IgNar's roams decided the outcome of the series against Vitality. At the very least, the squad has been trying to gauge its ability to create picks, despite the litany of misfires it has exhibited. With a better early game (and less focus on IgNar), their upcoming clashes against H2K (Week 5) and UoL (Week 6) may prove enlightening.
15. Team SoloMid
Record: 6-2 | League: NA LCS | +/-: --
Soren "Bjergsen" Bjerg has been as strong as ever for TSM, but it seems that the team's fate lies in the hands of Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen. TSM generally churn out results when Svenskeren gets his famed Lee Sin, but other champions lack the versatility to compensate for his lackadaisical adventures into the enemy jungle.
16. Splyce
Record: 4-1 | League: EU LCS | +/-: +2
Splyce found its way back to the top of Group B as it survived the early game consistently, a matter that eluded them before the 2017 LCS summer split. As such, the squad has been able to play the macro game, provided Chres "Sencux" Laursen remains alert.
17. OMG
Record: 5-0 | League: LPL | +/-: -9
OMG's plummet came more from a correcting of the status quo than a dip in performance. WE dispelled doubters this week, and EDward Gaming maintained form. So far, OMG seems content to run risky compositions and give up games and leads unnecessarily. Its greatest test comes in cross-conference, and if it can wage war with Group A's giants, OMG may climb yet again.
18. Flash Wolves
Record: 4-2 | League: LMS | +/-: +17
Flash Wolves move up quite a bit this week after a definitive series over Machi Esports and a decent series win over ahq eSports Club. The full roster is intact, and Hung "Karsa" Hau-hsuan is back for good with Chen "REFRA1N" Kuan-ting returning to J Team. Still, Flash Wolves are weaker than usual as it experiments more with putting Yu "MMD" Li-hong and Lu "Betty" Yu-hung in more positions to carry.
19. G2 Esports
Record: 2-3 | League: EU LCS | +/-: -6
G2 Esports' struggle to adapt to the current metagame seems to gravitate around "proactive engages." The team has seemingly reverted to a tactic that worked in 2016: All eggs in the Zven basket, who inherits an average of 30 percent of G2's income per game. Perhaps the squad has no other choice, given Ki "Expect" Dae-han's occasional overextension, or Kim "Trick" Gang-yun's inability to match other junglers in terms of impact. But if it wants to return to form, G2 will have to adapt to the meta fast.
20. Cloud9
Record: 5-3 | League: NA LCS | +/-: +1
Cloud9 has generally struggled so far, but it managed to go 2-0 in the LCS this week and move into a definitive fourth place. The team still lacks strategic diversity past grouping around mid, but playing with Jung "Impact" Eon-young makes all the difference in the team's communication. Impact may not directly make the team strategically sound, but he does make C9 less likely to falter.
