Welcome back to our League of Legends global power rankings. Every week, we look at each team in the five major regions and rank them according to how they are currently performing.

We're entering Week 4 of the LCK and NA/EU LCS. The LMS is entering Week 3, and the LPL is entering Week 2 of play. The +/- indicates the change since the previous ranking. Some LPL teams might have moved because of the movements around them because they did play this week.

World contenders

1. SK Telecom T1

Record: 4-0 (8-0) | League: LCK | +/-: No change

SKT continues to be a dominant force in the LCK, albeit against weaker opponents. SKT's opposition thus far lines the bottom ranks of the LCK, so its upcoming matches against Afreeca and bbq Olivers will be important to watch. Regardless, former Immortals top laner Huni has continued to thrive under Korean tutelage, and that's pretty exciting.

2. KT Rolster

Record: 4-0 (8-1) | League: LCK | +/-: No change

KT Rolster is slow-going, but nevertheless continues to show its class. Stumblings against Afreeca Freecs aren't of much concern, as the good generally outweighed the bad. It's just another steppingstone as the team readies itself for the return of the telecom war in March. Legendary support Cho "Mata" Se-Hyeong will have to step up his game in the coming weeks though.

3. Samsung Galaxy

4. Cloud9

Record: 6-0 (12-2) | League: NA LCS | +/-: No change

Cloud9 continued its hot streak throughout Week 3 by taking down Team EnVyUs and Echo Fox. 17-year-old jungler Juan "Contractz" Arturo Garcia has proved to be more than just "plug-and-play" but a true upgrade to the Cloud9 lineup from its time with William "Meteos" Hartman.

5. G2 Esports

Record: 4-0 (8-2) | League: EU LCS | +/-: +2

G2 Esports are probably one of the most refreshing squads to watch early in the European LCS, if you are on a mission to watch well-executed League of Legends gameplay. Following a narrow victory against Fnatic in Week 1, G2 have since marched upon the opposition. The perfect game against Giants stands as a demonstration of what could be once the team is fully primed.

More important, they have demonstrated solid decision-making to recover from early-game setbacks and follow up pressure with the necessary warding to ensure that snowballs keep rolling and that recoveries keep happening. In the loss against Misfits, the squad still showed resilience despite their opponent's superior execution.

6. EDward Gaming

7. Unicorns of Love

Record: 4-0 (8-2) | League: EU LCS | +/-: +8

What is not to love about the Unicorns of Love? Perhaps the occasional whimsy team fighting decision-making. Then again, that is as whimsy as Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov's decision to try stealing Baron Nashor on support Lulu against Splyce. The 29-to-31-minute mark events might enlighten many as to what is wrong (and right) about the squad. The series against H2k-Gaming? Mostly what is right.

UoL consider Summoners' Rift as a playground of possibilities, and they are willing to take unnecessary risks to learn what safe decision-making is, pushing it to the limit. Such an adventurous approach to the game requires strong play from all five positions, which UoL have in the current meta since Andrei "Xerxe" Dragomir has shown no signs of anxiety on stage.

8. bbq Olivers

Record: 3-1 (6-3) | League: LCK | +/-: +15

Tasty! Spicy! Top 10, baby! When ESC Ever changed -- no, evolved -- into bbq Olivers, backed by a fried chicken chain, it went from one of the most generic, overlooked clubs in the world to a team on everyone's mind; the helmeted rooster logo and striking red uniforms certainly help. And not only has the team's popularity risen worldwide, so has its play, starting off the split with three wins in its first four matches, only dropping a set to undefeated KT Rolster. Kang "Tempt" Myung-gu has blossomed into one of the fiercest carries in the league through the first part of the season, second only behind SK Telecom T1's Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok in overall kills with 47 (in 9 games) to the GOAT's incomprehensible 63 in one less game. Upcoming games this week against an improving Longzhu and Faker's perfect SKT T1 will tell us if the saints of deliciousness will slide down the rankings or, in a world where a team backed by the power of chicken defeats SKT, how high they can climb up the world rankings.

9. FlyQuest

Record: 5-1 (11-3) | League: NA LCS | +/-: +10

While criticized for last-minute managerial decisions surrounding Galen "Moon" Holgate (and a silly team name) earlier in the season, FlyQuest's performance has been remarkable. Moon is finally in the right environment to perform well under the veteran leadership of Hai "Hai" Du Lam and Daerek "LemonNation" Hart. As a result, Moon and Hai have led this team to the second spot in the North American standings.

10. QG Reapers

11. Longzhu

13. H2K Gaming

Record: 3-1 (7-3) | League: EU LCS | +/-: -4

Despite its position in the power rankings, H2k-Gaming are still a dangerous team to face, especially in the early game. Judging from their previous series, particularly against Team Vitality, their ability to focus during team fights has been shaky at best, with a back line occasionally left to fend for itself against assassins.

H2k has retained the ability to leverage objective takedowns into map control, and map control into landslide victories. Its efforts at broadening the playbook can only help in the long run; the challenge has primarily been about getting there.

14. Flash Wolves

15. Snake Esports

Record: 1-0 (2-1) | League: LPL | +/-: -3

16. Team SoloMid

Record: 5-1 (10-7) | League: NA LCS | +/-: +1

Team SoloMid had two hard-fought wins last week over Phoenix1 and Counter Logic Gaming. Like always, Team SoloMid will always be a top contender, and they're continuing to prove that, even without their leader, Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, in the bottom lane.

17. Phoenix1

Record: 4-2 (10-4) | League: NA LCS | +/-: +3

A loss to Team SoloMid will hurt Phoenix1, but the Firebirds shouldn't be too distraught. The team, at its best, has been the second-tidiest team in victory this season behind the behemoth Cloud9, and a hardfought 1-2 loss to the reigning league championship shouldn't deter them. With how the standings currently shake out, P1 are in a safe playoff position and should be commended for their crafty offseason signings, which turned them from a low table minnow to one of the future top clubs in North America.

18. Misfits

Record: 3-1 (7-3) | League: EU LCS | +/-: +7

Given Misfits' performances, it is becoming increasingly difficult to be skeptical of its ability to wreak havoc in Europe. During the past two weeks, it showed the ability to punish their opponents' movements and understand their compositions' strengths, leading to slow yet steady victories (or fast and devastating ones).

The squad is heavily benefiting from a reinvigorated Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage (following a lengthy stay within Origen), and Lee "KaKAO" Byung-kwon's decisive play in the jungle. But without Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun, Steven "Hans sama" Liv and Barney "Alphari" Morris's steady play in their respective roles, it would not have reached second place in Group A.

19. Afreeca Freecs

20. Invictus Gaming

Record: 1-1 (3-2) | League: LPL | +/-: -4

Middle of the pack

21. Splyce

Despite their 2W-2L record, things are looking up for Splyce. As it figures out the current meta and learn more ways to play competitively, the players can implement their strategies successfully, provided they do not concede objectives unexpectedly. Their team-fighting prowess is still one of their primary assets, should they not be so far behind that they lack the firepower to do so.

How can Splyce ensure team compositions reach its potential before they falter? Jakob "YamatoCannon" Mebdi might have to find that answer as soon as possible.

26. Counter Logic Gaming

CLG are in the perfect spot: No. 26. They are in-between the good teams of the world and the bad. On a good day, CLG can beat any of the teams ahead of them (at least in a best-of-one), and that includes even the best South Korean teams. On its worst days, CLG could lose to the No. 50 team and probably some amateur team in Finland that is made up of people who've been playing for only three days. It's feast or famine when you talk about CLG; you never know what you're going to get.

27. Jin Air Green Wings

Team Liquid's 1-1 week against EnVyUs and Echo Fox shows some weakness in the armor, particularly in the series with the former. Liquid, while not terrible, should have higher expectations, but the season so far does not look great.

Machi might be 0-3, but it got stuck with the hardest schedule in the LMS, having to play Flash Wolves, ahq e-Sports Club and J Team in the first two weeks. It's only logical to drop them because of its weak performances against Flash Wolves and ahq, but it's not over for M17.

40. Kongdoo Monster

Bottom of the barrel

41. Fireball

Underperformance doesn't even begin to describe Team Dignitas. Expected by most, including our panel, to be a good team heading into season seven, the team now finds itself at the bottom after continued losses. A team with this level of talent shouldn't be in this position.

Unfortunately, Taiwanese teams will line the bottom of the power rankings once more. XG and Wayi Spider have shown little promise so far and have come out victorious only against each other. It's premature to say the teams are non-factors LMS, but it's shaping up to be that way.
