ELeague announced Wednesday it will host the tenth major for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive from Jan. 22 - 29 in Atlanta. The tournament will culminate in a grand final broadcasted live on TBS and Twitch from the Fox Theatre.

Sixteen teams will compete for a prize pool of $1 million, with the top eight teams, called legends, auto-qualifying from the prior major. Qualifiers for the remaining eight will take place Dec. 15 - 18. GODSENT, Team Liquid, SK Gaming, Virtus.Pro, Astralis, FlipSid3 Tactics, Gambit Gaming and Natus Vincere make up the eight legends who qualify from their placement at ESL One Cologne 2016.

The offline qualifier tournament will play out in Turner's studio, followed by the bracket stages before moving on Fox Theatre. The qualifier will include the bottom eight teams from the last major and eight unannounced qualifiers from regional tournaments.

The Turner-WME | IMG produced ELeague launched last summer, hosting a CS:GO tournament live on TBS and Twitch.tv. Eleague was the first televised broadcast of CS:GO, and the first-ever Twitter stream of an esports event.
