Gerwyn Price took down darts heavyweights Luke Littler and Luke Humphries at the Premier League Darts event in Dublin on Thursday before beating Nathan Aspinall in the final.
Price put together a superb display to beat Littler. The reigning world champion took the first leg, but Price soon earned a 4-1 lead. Littler fought back, though, even motioning for the crowd to calm down after hitting double 14 for a 109 checkout in the sixth leg.
However, Price managed to close out a victory, even finding six perfect darts to begin the final leg. Littler again showed his emotions at the end, throwing his box of darts to the ground as he left the stage.
Price found proceedings more comfortable in his semifinal match against Humphries and the final against Aspinall, winning both matches 6-3.
The results mean Humphries remains top with 10 points, but Price moves to three points behind him in second.
Stepehen Bunting, who lost his opening match on Thursday against Humphries, is the only player yet to win a match.
