Even though Multan had Peshawar at 5/2, they couldn't maintain the pressure. As Haris said, "attack is the best form of defence," and he went all guns blazing from the start, completely flipping the script. A rapid and engrossing 45 off 21 set the tone for a big total. TKC was on a roll as well, tonking the bowlers for his quickfire fifty. Both fell, but the lower middle-order stepped up. Talat, Owen and most importantly, Samad, kept decimating the bowlers. As a result, Peshawar have posted a competitive total. From a bowling perspective, Willey started well but didn't get much support from the other end. Usama Mir bowled too short and lacked consistency while Akif was all over the place. We'll be back with Multan's reply shortly

Ubaid Shah to Joseph, 4 byes, Shabby glovework again; back of the hand slower one rising from a shorter length in the corridor, Hope gets awkward bounce and it ricochets off his pads to the rope; sums up the day for Multan in the field

Aly : "How is this Abdul Samad guy traversing space and time and batting in both IPL and PSL at the same time? And Doing well at it!"

Abdul Samad: "Don't forget, Multan chased 240 against Peshawar in this same ground in 2023, it's not over until it's over"

Willey to Owen, no run, Around the wicket, tries it again and gets it just inside the tramline on off, tried to steer that one, actually it was outside the tramline but the batter moved across a touch as well so the line moves further away as well

pri: "Babar going through exactly what Fakhar went through last psl, but the noise this time is so much louder. All eyes on him despite not being part of the T20 team anymore (which I feel has taken some toll on him). I feel for Babar. Shouldering so much expectation is not an easy feat. "
