That's all for today, guys. Do join Rvel Zahid for the second match of the doubleheader day, when the Karachi Kings meet the Multan Sultans. I'm signing off on behalf of myself, Sudeep, and Chandan. Goodbye.

Abrar Ahmed is the Player of the Match for his incredible performance with the ball

6:45 pm Chasing a massive total of 217 runs places a lot of weight on the shoulders of the top order batters. And the top order failed, with Babar heading back to the dressing room for a duck. Haris showed strong determination from the first ball but was unable to stay at the crease for an extended period of time. Abrar was brought in during the powerplay, and he took two wickets in his over, dismissed Haris and TKC. Talat and Saim attempted to rebuild the innings with a string of boundaries, but when Talat lost his wicket, the collapse occurred again. Peshawar Zalmi continued to lose wickets in quick succession, losing consecutive wickets four times in the innings. Saim Ayub had a decent performance in his comeback to play after three months, smacking 50 runs off 38 balls. Saim Ayub was the sole fighter until Mitch Owen joined the picture, but it was too late for the Zalmi. Owen had a spectacular cameo, scoring 31 runs off 13 balls. Perhaps they should have sent Owen up with the order? There are a lot of ifs and buts, but Zalmi suffered a crushing setback in their first match of the season, and they may reflect on their mistakes and rights later on. The Quetta Gladiators dominated the match in all three formats: bowling, batting, and fielding. Gladiators bowlers bowled precise lines and lengths, keeping them in the game strongly. Abrar took four wickets, while Usman and Amir both had two. Their fielding performance was also excellent.

Tiago: "@uzair Jamal if you're chasing such a high total, you need en explosive opener to give your team a start. Owen is perfect for that role "

Quetta Gladiatiors won the match by 80 runs

Mohammad Amir to Owen, OUT, Mitch Owen cameo finally comes to an end! Hard line and length ball angling away outside off, Owen moves forward and commits full swing of the bat, finds the leading edge of the bat and skies it high to gully area, the wicketkeeper calls for the catch and sprints to his right side, settles underneath and gobbles it up under the floodlights.
