6:45pm Another powerful and bruising batting display by the world champions. Healy departed early, but Litchfield rose to the occasion, crafting a hundred of immense quality. Perry played second-fiddle and got herself to 77, but a few quick wickets through the middle meant that Australia had to then rely on Gardner's pyrotechnics to go past 330, even though at one stage, it felt they would cruise to a 350-plus score.

India, consequently, might feel they have done well to pull Australia back. The question, though, is if they have pulled them back enough. Charani was the pick of the bowlers but the rest struggled to assert any sort of sustained authority. Which means they now have a huge pile of runs to hunt down. But this is a decent track to bat on, and if there is dew and if batting under lights gets a little easier, India may feel they have a shot. Join us in a bit for the restart.

Phoebe Litchfield: It was awesome - for the personal milestone, from the team perspective, nice to get over 300 and put a competitive total on the board. (What worked) Just assessing the wicket, taking down the spinners when they bowled into my areas. Credit also to Pez to keep me going. Full team effort to get to 338. (On the switch hit/reverse sweep) I usually hit there because the fielders are not there. (On the score) We would have taken that at the start out there. But probably left a few runs out there.

Sharma to Garth, 1 run, OUT, floated up on middle and off. Garth skips down the track and drills it towards long off. The decision to go for the second is a little belated and that leads to Garth's undoing. Just about in the frame as Ghosh takes off the bails, and Australia have been bowled out with a ball remaining in their innings!

Sharma to Schutt, 1 run, Schutt has to scramble, but she makes it! Loopy yorker outside off. Schutt squeezes it out to the bowler's right and hares across. Deepti fields it and hits the stumps at the bowler's end but Schutt did just enough

Schutt is the last batter in. Hat-trick ball

Sharma to Molineux, OUT, and Deepti has two in two now! Zipped in very full on leg stump. Molineux walks across her stumps and looks to swipe this away behind square. Too full to be playing that stroke, though, and Molineux only ends up swishing at thin air. The rattle of leg stump fills the stadium soon after, and Australia are nine down!

Molineux to try her luck now. Over the wicket

Sharma to King, OUT, big, big appeal for a caught-behind, and Deepti wants this reviewed! And Harmanpreet says...okay! Slowed up and angled across the batter on a length outside off. King shuffles a step to her right and then has an enormous mow across the line. Seems to miss it but India, obviously, think otherwise. And they are right too. There is a snick off the under-edge as King was swinging like a rusty gate, and India's decision to review has paid off!

Sharma to Garth, 1 run, into the blockhole just outside off. Garth clinks it out to extra cover and saunters across to the other end

eraz: "why didn't garth sacrifice herself" -- She tried to, but it was too late by then. Deepti to bowl the 50th. With Garth on strike
