Another win for the table-toppers and they're looking good halfway into their season. Thunder have one win in four games and have a lot of catching up to do. Same applies for Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars, who take each other on tomorrow. Join us for that. Bye for now from me, Ekanth, and our scorers, Sudeep Poojari and Harshith Gowda.
Nathan McSweeney, POTM: It's always better when you get the win. We were ten short, bowlers were awesome. We got bowlers with experience and they're showing off. Awesome being back at the gabba. Crowds like this is why you train and play, hope to pay them back. (On his game) Enjoyed batting on grounds like this where there's value for shots, outfield's fast and wicket's nice. Hope to play more here. We got another game here on the 1st, it suits my game. Hope I can get myself in again and put another score on the board.
9:37pm A major wobble with the bat for Heat but the bowlers stepped up bigtime to register a 15-run win in the end. They were set back early by Hales and Bancroft, who put on 58 up top. But the spinners pulled things back with tight stacks of overs and regular wickets. The floodgates opened up in the backend. Thunder's batters tried all they could against the quicks' plans to go slow and vary lengths but the bowlers came up trumps.
