Melbourne Stars win by 44 runs on Marcus Stoinis' night to remember. A brilliant innings of 147 not out, a BBL record, in a BBL-record stand of 207 with Hilton Cartwright. One of those nights where you had to see it to believe it, especially the second half of the innings. The Sixers needed everything to go their way in the chase and it didn't. They couldn't get the platform needed to challenge such a huge total. The Stars extend their lead at the top and the Sixers stay second. Can anyone challenge them for the top two spots? That's all for tonight, we'll be back with Hobart Hurricanes v Perth Scorchers tomorrow. Until then, goodbye and thanks for joining us.

Jen: "I'm sorry to say, but as soon as a wicket fell for the Sixers it has been pretty much been game over for me. Stoinis Impressive innings killed the game for them" That can happen. Have to savour the special batting we saw
