Bangladesh Captain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz: "Alhamdulillah, we started very well. The way Soumya Sarkar and Saif Hassan batted was an excellent start. It's not easy to bat on this surface, but the way they batted, they took responsibility and got so many boundaries in the first 20 overs. [Batting Mindset] We didn't bat well for the last few months, and we knew we had to be positive. We discussed how to play in these conditions, and everybody agreed that we have to play positive all the time; otherwise, we cannot get runs. Everybody's mindset is there, and everyone tried to make runs on this wicket. The batters did the job early, and despite almost 300 runs on the board, our bowlers really bowled wonderfully. Rishad Hossain played really well throughout the whole series. It's easy for the captain when everybody steps up. Everybody is just trying to maintain the line and length and is focused on performing. Everybody is supporting me, and credit definitely goes to the whole team. [On the Future] It was very crucial for Bangladesh to get back into winning ways. We've had a bad run, but this possibly is the series that turns things around, and we become more consistent in the one-day format. I hope next year more [ODI] matches are coming, and the boys understand what we're doing."

Player of the Series, Rishad Hossain: "I had the crucial support of my fellow bowlers, making this a true team effort, and I am very happy with my performance."

Player of the Match, Soumya Sarkar: "[On his comeback] A lot of hard work and diligence went into it, and I had tremendous support from my wife and family. I also felt the continuous urge from the crowd. I am proud to be back in the team and getting among the runs."

West Indies Captain, Shai Hope: "[On the Series Loss] You said it. We obviously would have wanted to win the series, but it didn't happen for us today. It's been a tough series for us, especially as batters, but there are always lessons to be learned. [Bangladesh's Batting] Credit must be given to their openers, especially at the beginning. It's been a tough ask for the batters in general in this series, but you have to give credit to those who came out and really showed that impetus at the start. [West Indies' Bowling] I don't think we bowled as particularly well as we could have. These are things that we've got to be really critical about when we play in conditions like this. They bowled really well in the Powerplay and put us under pressure, and it was very difficult to pull the game back in the back end. [Run Chase] The scoreboard pressure was on us immediately. I still think it was about a 170-180 surface, so if you give them so many runs, it's going to be difficult for us as batters to chase. Regardless of what they're bowling, we've got to try to find a way to make the runs. If the bowlers didn't do it in a particular situation, a batter has to raise their hand, and we didn't do that today. [Looking Ahead to T20I Series] We've got a T20 series coming up on a different surface in Chattogram, so we need to forget the past, take a few lessons from our mistakes, and then come back strongly for the next one. Most definitely, it's a different series, a different format, but the same mindset. We have to make sure we come here to win games. We need to get to the ground, see what the surface is like, adapt, assess, and hopefully, we can play better cricket in that series."

Zia: "Highest scorer for his team, highest wicket taker in the match. Yet he will not be considered for the Player of the Match. Bad luck Akeal. With the similar performance, you may have won the match for WI if other batsmen contributed."

Sathyen: "Irrespective of the pitch, the best bowlers should play and Jayden Seales is by far their best bowler on this tour with Alzarri being injured. West Indies went horses for courses and it sought of worked in the last match. Even if they had variety its understandable. But, to play the same type of bowlers even though the pitch is helpful is asking for trouble and West Indies have paid the price for not thinking out of the box. 200 is a defendable score on this pitch and they conceded almost 300. "

7.38 pm A job well done by Bangladesh, the win set up by their batters who made a very difficult pitch look very very easy at the start of the day. Sarkar and Saif put on 176 runs in 151 balls for the opening stand. From there, across both innings, only 237 runs came in 330 balls.
