11:37am Well, that happened rather quickly. For much of the first hour, Pakistan seemed in control, with Salman and Shakeel ticking along nicely. But Maharaj trapped Salman just before the drinks break and that set into motion yet another Pakistan mini-collapse. Maharaj, like he was for much of yesterday, was SA's bowling lynchpin, finishing with seven wickets. Harmer did his bit too, as did the pacers, who got the ball to reverse at different times.
Pakistan may not be very pleased with how things unraveled today, especially after the fall of their sixth wicket. Prior to that, Masood, Shafique and Shakeel mustered half-centuries and that has given Pakistan a handy total, although at this stage, they will feel that they have left a few runs out there. Join us in a bit as SA try and navigate through what could be a tricky period just before lunch.
