5:02 pm What a start for New Zealand with the new ball! They sent the visitors in to bat and the seamers, Henry and Foulkes, delivered two jaffas in the first two overs to send both the openers back in the hut. Using the breeze and conditions perfectly, the duo rattled England's lineup, leaving them on just 10 runs for four wickets. Foulkes, in particular, got one through the bat-pad gap of Root with a lovely inswinger; a dismissal you don't see often! It took a captain's innings to stabilize the ship. Harry Brook started his natural counterattack, batting on what looked like a different pitch with a strike rate over 100. The skipper and Overton began the tough job of reconstructing the innings with an 87-run partnership off 87 balls before Duffy struck back-to-back in the 26th over. Brook, however, was on a mission, striking the bowlers for boundaries all around the field and expertly farming the strike with the tailenders. The England skipper completed his second ODI century before falling as the last wicket for a magnificent 135 runs off 101 balls. Only two batters reached double digits, with Overton scoring 46. Foulkes was exceptional with four wickets, Duffy claimed three, and Henry bagged two. We will be back for the run chase after the break; Miller will take the hot seat.

Jayeshds : "What's record of number of sixes by a visitor here in NZ???" From Shubham Agarwal: Perera hit 13 sixes once, Stoinis hit 11, as many as Brook today.

S Basu: "Reminds Kapil's 175. Let's see whether bowlers can do the same or not. "

Sanjeev: "I still have doubts about how Brook will play in indian conditions. But this knock surely take him to the next level. He is going to be a fine fine player."

Bond: "Everyone just jinxing England all the way! Folks, you need to sit back, stop thinking, stop hoping and just let the show run"

Santner to Brook, OUT, And Harry Brook has holed out to deep midwicket! Tossed up length ball around off, gets down on one knee and went for the big slog sweep, and did not time it well enough, maybe for the first time today while playing an attacking stroke. He did get the elevation but not the distance, finds the on-side sweeper fielder, who was standing a few yards inside. And that's the end of a wonderful world-class innings from the England skipper.

Malik Sajad : "Is double hundred on the cards? @ Harry Brook." Don't jinx it, Sajad.
