8.37pm A fantastic finish and some devastating hitting at the death has seen Bangladesh put up a very competitive total, particularly in the context of how their innings began. Both openers were sent packing inside the first two overs, but Litton hung around - scrappily initially - during a consolidatory partnership with Towhid Hridoy, before later finding his groove alongside the outstanding Shamim Hossain. Litton finished on 76 off 50, but it was Shamim's 48 off 27 that caused Sri Lanka the most distress. Sri Lanka though were exemplary in the field - barring for the two let-offs off Litton - and a pair of run outs in the final over meant Bangladesh were unable to reach the 180-mark Litton had felt was a good total at the toss. Still, Sri Lanka will need to turn up with the bat to hunt these down. Fidel will be here to guide you through the chase shortly.
Shamim Hossain run out 48 (40m 27b 5x4 2x6) SR: 177.77
Jaker Ali run out 3 (7m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 150
Last two fifties came off 32 and 23 balls respectively. How many can Bangladesh get in this final over. It's Thushara to finish things off.

Ayaz: "What's the par score in this ground?" --- 167, but that has been heavily impacted by the slower surfaces prepared towards the tail-end of last year.

Odinlass: "Is this a slow surface? The current projection of 167 feels quite under par." --- Definitely not slow, quite a good batting surface I'd say.

Palinda: "Can't blame Vandersay. Created two chances against Litton but non were taken. How much will this cost SL?"
Jai: "This series has been a turnaround, Bangladesh has finally learnt consistent running between the wickets after 2 decades"
