5:33pm Another day where New Zealand take hold of the Test match. They began the day on a strong note and end on one. But Zimbabwe had their moments in the day which enabled them to limit New Zealand's lead to 158.
Conway batted steadily at the start but missed out on his century. He scored four Test centuries in his first 20 months and is yet to score one in his last 30 months. Mitchell contributed in the middle order and he was the last batter out on 80. But Zimbabwe bounced back through Chivanga and Muzarabani's strikes. The ask for the hosts would have been more had Smith not retired hurt - with an abdominal tear that has curtailed his role in this match.
For Zimbabwe to put up a fight, they needed the openers to lay the platform. But Curran and Bennett never looked at ease and were back in the dressing room early. Could be all over tomorrow unless we see some superb batting from Zimbabwe. Make no mistake, they have a very good middle order - at least on paper. Do join us nice and early to find out how the action unfolds. For now, that's all we have for you from Bulawayo. Ciao, folks!
