10:54am 603. A mountain of runs and India have finally decided they have enough. Perhaps the cue was Ghosh and captain Harmanpreet getting dismissed. Both did their job, though, tightening their grip on the game further and putting South Africa under more duress in the field. Neither got to that magic three-figure mark, but you feel India have plenty to work with, especially on a track that is starting to take turn more regularly.
As for South Africa, well, they will be glad this innings is over, for starters. They earned slightly better rewards today (as compared to yesterday), and were a touch tidier in their lines and lengths. Tucker ended with two wickets, with de Klerk, Mlaba and Sekhukhune bagging a scalp apiece. They have it all to do with the bat now, and while it will not be easy, they will draw inspiration from what India's batters managed.
Join us in a bit for South Africa's reply!
