3.55pm: Right, that's a wrap from Trent Bridge. Firdose's report is in and there'll be more to come from Vish at the ground. Zimbabwe were beaten by an innings, but they went down fighting and won fans along the way - Brian Bennett produced a knock that will be talked about for a long time, while Blessing Muzarabani, Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza all gave a good account of themselves. Hopefully it won't be 22 years before they're invited to play England again. For now, thanks for all your comments, from myself, Andrew Miller and Rashad. England Men next turn their attention to white-ball cricket and the start of Harry Brook's reign - the first ODI against West Indies is at Edgbaston on Thursday. Until then, it's cheerio from us. Bye!
3.42pm: Here we go with the presentations, Player of the Match is Shoaib Bashir: [Trent Bridge record] "Nice ground to bowl at when it's spinning. Nice to get the win. Nice to bowl back in rhythm, felt really good out there. Clinical performance by boys. Went on loan to get overs, nice to join the group and the training camp at Loughborough. Nice to be out in front of an England crowd, can't get better than that. [Secret with England?] The guys make you feel 10ft tall. When you're backed you can go out and express yourself."
Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine: "Our fans are like no other, the amount of support we receive. The occasion was massive for us and the guys stuck to their guns. The first day didn't go our way but we bounced back. Brian Bennett, an unbelievable innings, then Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza today. [Day one] Maybe a bit of nerves at the start. Guys not being as consistent as usual. That little session on day two, we were much better. That's something we'll look at going forward. [Bowl at toss] Bit of both, we felt with the overhead conditions, we could utilise the new ball. Needed to get the ball in the right area for a bit longer. [Bennett] Very special, to have his folks here. they'll all remember that for a very long time. Probably hasn't sunk in for him. [Young talent] There's a couple of them, Wessly Madhevere, Brian has showed his skill and his talent, certainly a bright future for Zimbabwe cricket."
England captain Ben Stokes: "Good to get the summer off to winning ways. Slow start with ball, once we got back into it, we were great from the last session onwards. [Crawley] Every run you get for England is important. Zak and Ben [Duckett], we went out there in the way we want to impose ourselves on the game. The top two are very hard to bowl to. Popey was exceptional to continue the momentum, he's a massive part of the team and has been incredible. [Selection] Everyone under the microscope from the outside has done well. Nice gap until the next Test, so we'll appreciate what they've done. [Fitness] Feels good with the bat, long time away. Lions game was in the background if I felt I needed more game time. Pleased to get more overs under the belt. Rest for me now is as important as ever. It'll take time, it's a big thing for the body to go through. Worked hard to get here so it's a massive confidence boost. [Bashir] Sometimes we take for granted all the positive words we fill Bash up with, it can only do so much. The way he came out and inserted himself on the game was exceptional. The wicket wasn't offering that much, so to walk off with nine-for was exceptional. Everything is going upwards for him."
3:35 pm Zimbabwe's second session got off to a terrible start! Ben Curran just chipped it straight to Ben Stokes at short cover, early in the session's play. But then, Madhevere and Raza steadied the ship, ticking the scoreboard over and even hitting a few aggressive shots. Their partnership was looking good, building up some runs... until Brook pulled off a moment of individual brilliance at slip! And sadly, that's when things really fell apart for Zimbabwe. After that dismissal, they just folded like a house of cards. We saw a few mishits, some soft dismissals... and then Shoaib Bashir just ripped through them! He was absolutely brilliant, picking up his fourth five-wicket haul in Test cricket, totally bamboozling the Zimbabwean batters, finishing the innings with career best figures of 6-81. Sikandar Raza was the lone warrior, standing tall at one end, watching his partners troop back to the pavilion. But even his defiance couldn't last forever. Raza departed after scoring 60 runs. Zimbabwe were all out for 255 runs. Ngarava couldn't even make it to the crease due to injury. A really disappointing end to their innings! Alan Gardner will lead you through the post match presentation ceremony. Don't go anywhere!
England won the match by an innings and 45 runs
