David Warner walks out for one final appearance at the idyllic MCG

12:20pm: Pat Cummins does Pat Cummins things; he picks up a sensational fifer and shows his diverse bag of tricks in no uncertain terms. He is an expert in working batters over and finding ways to outsmart them; produces another fast-bowling masterclass. Especially, that pearler to Babar Azam was the standout delivery for me. Pakistan had a great start to their innings as Shafique and Masood batted briskly and made crucial half-centuries, but then wickets fell in quick succession. Rizwan took control and halted the slide for a few hours. Some decent contributions from the tail got Pakistan to 264, which is 54 runs short of Australia's first innings total

Jesse: "Fair play to Jamal, this has been some knock to keep Pakistan in the test, and something that is so often lacking from their tail enders "

Lyon to Mir Hamza, OUT, Throws the kitchen sink at it and lost his balance, swings for the grandstands but misses it completely, flummoxed by the prodigious turn outside off, his foot wasn't behind the line and Carey did well to whip off the bails quickly and that'll be the end of the innings. Maybe he should have gone with defensive tactics and brought Jamal on strike who was hitting the ball so well

Mir Hamza st †Carey b Lyon 2 (4m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

anees wajid: "The difference are those extras that Pakistan bowled."

Emad: "Very very irresponsible of Mir Hamza, especially when Jamal is hitting it so well and reducing the deficit, just no sense of responsibility or team work from the tailender"

Cummins to Hasan Ali, OUT, Cummins picks up his 10th five wicket haul in Tests with a beauty! Back of a length ball, jags back insanely off the deck and Hasan is trying to track the late movement but ends up leaving a big gap as the ball sneaks through the gate and rattles the stumps, bails flying everywhere. What an incredible delivery and the last man Mir Hamza will walk out

Starc to Aamer Jamal, FOUR, oh dear me! That has been absolutely leathered past mid-on for a boundary! Smashes it off a full length and that's a very confident looking shot down the ground; great use of the feet to get to the pitch of the ball. #gutsy
