9:06pm An innings that went nowhere. Mooney departed early, and Wolvaardt followed suit soon, leaving the Giants tottering inside three overs. Hemalatha then tried to counter-attack but failed in that pursuit, with Gardner also not able to rescue her side this time. Dottin's wild hack across the line was not great either, with Deol the only batter to offer some sustained resistance, alongside Gautam, who sparkled during her brief stay.

Towards the end, Satghare got a couple of boundaries away, and that has taken GG to 120. Which does not seem nearly enough at this stage, especially against a batting line-up as strong as MI's. As for their bowling unit, almost all of them stood up, barring the debutant Sisodia, who endured a tough start to her WPL career. They will fancy their chances of chasing this total and GG will require something special if they have to turn this game around. Join us in a bit for the chase!

Hayley Matthews: Coming into the game, we obviously looked to restrict them to a total and definitely have exceeded expectations. The team have picked themselves up really well, coming here with a lot of energy and wanting to improve. Another innings to go and hopefully we can make this an easy chase.

AB Kaur to Satghare, 1 run, OUT, back of a length outside off. Satghare chips down the track and drills it towards sweeper cover. Both batters decide to go back for the second because, well, why not. Mishra, though, is struggling to make it back. She puts in the dive but that is not enough as Amanjot takes off the bails. Gujarat Giants finish with 120!

AB Kaur to Satghare, no run, back of a length just outside off. Zips off the surface and breezes past the outside edge of Satghare's flailing blade. Bhatia takes off the bails and asks the question, which inevitably leads to the square leg umpire asking for help. Satghare's back foot is grounded and well behind the crease. Seemed that way in real-time too, and on we go

Nat Sciver-Brunt to Priya Mishra, 1 run, off-pace on a back of a length on off. Mishra dabs it towards backward point and gets called through for the single. The throw is to the batter's end but Satghare makes it comfortably. The throw should have been to the other end, in hindsight

Kerr to Priya Mishra, 1 leg bye, oh dear! Another googly, pitching on a length on off and spinning back in. Mishra is beaten all ends up and the ball deflects off her pads towards short third. Satghare calls Mishra through, and had Kerr collected the throw at the bowler's end, Mishra was not even in the frame. It was not a great throw, though, it must be said

Kerr to Kanwar, OUT, another agricultural slog, and another Gujarat Giants wicket! Floated up full from around the wicket, outside off. Kanwar has an almighty swipe across the line but loses her shape completely. Skews it off the top edge and Gupta, under it at square leg, gobbles up the chance!

AB Kaur to Deol, OUT, Deol picks it up well, but she also picks out Matthews on the fence! Another dagger to the Gujarat Giants' hearts! Back of a length on the stumps. Deol uses the angle and gets decent purchase on it. The only problem, though, is that it is straight down Matthews' throat at deep backward square leg. A couple of yards either side, and that might have been a flat six. But on an evening where everything has gone wrong for the Giants, Deol could not have found the fielder better!
