Bit of a sedate start but they upped the ante towards the end. Savage's crucial half-century gave the innings the much-needed impetus, resulting in a fighting and defendable total. Boult was impressive as usual and so were Bracewell and Sunny with their disciplined spells. Conway came in early and stayed till the end with a fantastic half-century. He ensured the early efforts didn't go to waste, holding the innings together and entertaining the crowd with some scintillating hitting.
