5:53pm Right. That will be a wrap from us for this game. But the action comes thick and fast in the ILT20. In less than half an hour, MI Emirates will take on the Dubai Capitals. Do join us for that game as well. Until next time, this is me (Shashwat) signing off on behalf of Thilak and everyone at ESPNcricinfo. Goodbye, and take care!

5:50pm Phew, that was some game. For much of the powerplay in the second innings, it seemed that the Vipers were in control. But then, Hetmyer walked out to the middle and he, alongside Lynn, changed the complexion of the contest. Both batted with the sort of impetus the Giants were craving and took down Hasaranga. The rest of the bowlers also came in for some punishment and that 117-run partnership in less than 10 overs made the job easier for those to follow.

The Vipers threatened a turnaround when they snapped up Hetmyer and Lynn. In the end, though they could not limit the damage the pair had caused and slipped to their first defeat this season. As for the Giants, well, their juggernaut rolls on and they now sit at the perch of the table, two points clear of the Vipers.

Atkinson to Wiese, FOUR, Wiese lands another body blow! Half-tracker outside off stump that is crying out to be hit. Wiese gets into position and smacks it past deep mid wicket

That could be a crucial over in the context of the game. 11 runs came off it, and if the Giants keep their heads, they should be able to get the job done
