With that dismissal, though, Sri Lanka have declared. They have set Bangladesh 437 for victory. It'll be a Test record if they chase that of course, but a more realistic target might be to bat out the day-and-a-half remaining. It's going to be tough on this pitch, with Lanka's finger spinners Praveen and Mendis both among the wickets and bowling confidently.
Neither of those bowlers have ever been in a position where they were expected to bowl Sri Lanka to victory, but they have plenty of assistance from this surface.
Although the last bit of the Sri Lanka innings seems a little futile, it did at least give Taijul a well-deserved five-for. He's been Bangladesh's most menacing bowler in these conditions.
