10.17am That's Rashid's second five-wicket haul in Tests as Afghanistan walk out with a lead of 137. Bangladesh lasted only 17 minutes today as they lost two wickets for only 11 more runs. Mosaddek stays unbeaten on 48, and while Mominul made 52 yesterday, Bangladesh needed bigger partnerships from their batsmen to get close to Afghanistan's total. Be back in 10 minutes for Afghanistan's second innings.
Sajid: "Why mossadek was taking singles so early in the over and letting nayeem face rashid!!! Ridiculously immature decision!!"
Sayeem : "B'desh are already in rough shape following a bitter world cup, poor sri lanka series, and shakib's recent comments on captaincy. Team morale must be at a low and it shows here. Be a bit surprising if they get away with a draw here."
Shatu: "I'm wondering, does BD team not have a single person to teach their batsmen on how to bat with tail-enders? Just when I was writing this, the last wicket is gone and the last proper batsman at the non-striking end. PATHETIC!"

9.57am Nearly there for the first ball. The umpires make their way out. Taijul and Mosaddek are two away from their half-century stand. Nabi to kickstart proceedings
Rashid Khan: "My first game as captain - it's a huge honour playing for the country in Tests. Really enjoyed yesterday, with batting, bowling and as a team yesterday we did really well. Hope to keep the momentum going. We did a fantastic job in the first two days. But it's only our third Test match, so we need to play more Tests to get better. The last two days we played, our boys played like we've plyaed 50-60 Test matches. Our boys have done well to keep their T20 instincts away. Batsmen took their time, bowlers bowled with passion. Being recognised as a top cricketer is more than a dream for you. I feel quite lucky to be someone who is at this stage in such a short period of time."
day three pitch report: "Lots of cloud cover today, it rained earlier today too," says Tino Mawoyo. "It hasn't been a typical Chattogram pitch. The ball has kept low, so a lot for batsmen to consider. The area outside the off stump will be key for batsmen. A lot of rough has been created with Ahmadzai bowling over the wicket."
9.30am, day 3 Welcome to ESPNcricinfo's coverage of day three. How close to Afghanistan's 342 will Bangladesh get? That's the big question today. Shakib Al Hasan said last evening that the pitch caught them by surprise, so the hosts will hope for a steadier batting performance from their middle and lower order today. In the Afghanistan camp, it's now official that the Test will be Mohammad Nabi's last for his country, so the allrounder will be yearning to finish his career with his country's first away win. What does Chattogram have in store for us today? Let's find out together as I, Sreshth Shah, and Liam Brickhill say hi from the comm box.
Khondkar Salequ: "Got surprised by Shakib's statement . Bangladesh batsmen struggled playing Afghan spinners on the same surface where Afghan batsmen braved Bangladeshi spinners . What type of wicket Shakib wanted ? Did not Rashid proved a better all rounder than Shakib already on the surface ?"
Sazed: "@Khondkar: Completely disagree with you that Rashid is a better allrounder than Shakib on this pitch. Shakib is a proven all-rounder for last decades and doing well all around the world. Still halfway of the match. It will be unfair to compare with Shakib and Rashid in this way. "

5.25pm And the umpires call time on the second day in Chattogram. Afghanistan's day, you've got to say. It all started when their captain's maiden Test fifty pushed them on to their highest total in their fledgling Test history. Afghanistan were on top from the moment Yamin Ahmadzai struck with the fourth ball of Bangladesh's innings, after which it was over to Rashid once again to show his all-round value. He picked up four wickets, including the huge ones of Shakib and Mushfiqur in the space of an over, and though Mominul's fifty made the follow-on safe for Bangladesh, Afghanistan struck repeatedly to maintain control. Nabi struck twice, while legspinner Qais Ahmad picked up Mehidy for his maiden Test wicket. Mosaddek and Taijul have held the visitors at bay with an as yet unbroken 48-run stand, with Mosaddek cruising into the 40s and Taijul holding his own, but Afghanistan will still hold the advantage heading into the third day. Stick around for Mohammad Isam's report, which will land shortly, and do join us again for more of the same tomorrow!
Reshad: "Great show from Afghans so far. Finally a positive partnership from BD. Tomorrow's first session will be very crucial for Bangladesh. If they manage to put a decent total on board, it will be an interesting match. "
