11.35am Bangladesh have worked their way through Afghanistan's lower middle and tail this morning, but it hasn't been easy work. Asghar Afghan missed out on what would have been a maiden hundred, but Rashid Khan built on the good work from the top order to push his team forward on to their highest total in their budding Test history. Taijul picked up two more wickets in a 10-over spell, taking his tally to four for the innings, and he was ably backed up by Shakib, who worked through the tail with two dismissals, and Mehidy, who finished things off with the wicket of Rashid for 51. Bangladesh utilized an army of spinners, Afghanistan have a couple of their own. Join us in a couple of minutes to see how they fair.
Pramodh: "Well begun is half done.. Afghans have to show the same consistency and patience in their bowling to hold the reins of a strong Bangla batting.. and I am hoping that they wud.. "
Jimit Raja: "Nice batting with the tail by the youngster. Farms the strike well."
Meanwhile, what is it about US Open finals with Serena Williams and a rank outsider? It was Naomi Osaka who upset her last year. Can Canadian teenager Bianca Andreescu follow suit this year?
