3.4 huge lbw appeal given not out. West Indies review. It hit high on the back leg as he was trapped on the crease. Excellent delivery nipping in. It beat the inside edge via the seam movement and thudded into the inner thigh infront of middle and off. Height the only issue. No bat involved. Ball tracking says hitting in line and smashing leg sump! Konstas is out 8/1
39.4 nicked and gone! Khawaja perishes on the brink of a half-century and it is that man Shamar Joseph again! This is not the greatest ball Shamar will ever bowl but given the way he has toiled all day, he perhaps deserves this slice of luck. There to be hit, and Khawaja feels the same as he tries to swivel and dump it through square leg. A touch early into the pull, though, and he only manages a bottom edge that is gobbled up by Hope. Shamar is off on his celebratory run, and Australia's resistant fourth-wicket stand has been dismantled! 111/4
9.4 edged and finally taken! Although Green waits to check the catch was cleanly take at second slip by Greaves. Third umpire says the fingers are under it clearly. Green is out. Superb delivery. 143kph, full, angled into a fourth stump line, straightening off the seam, he pushes with hard hands like he did at Rabada in the WTC final and edges to second slip where Greaves takes a good low catch. Just reward for Shamar Joseph 14/2
15.1 goes straight up, and Inglis bites the dust! Oh dear - Inglis will not want to look back at this again! Marginally short outside off and Inglis thinks he can unleash the pick-up pull that he likes unfurling so often in white-ball cricket. The ball, though, just gets a little big on him and he cannot control his shot. Goes a mile up off the top edge and Hope, with the gloves on, calls early and makes no mistake. Australia sink further into trouble, and Inglis' endeavour to transfer the pressure back onto WI, has fallen flat on its face! 22/3
49.2 caught behind! Greaves nabs the danger man! Loose shot. Good length, angled in on a fourth stump line, Head tries to flay it flat footed on the up through cover, gets a thick edge and there's no doubt this carried to Hope as he takes it waist high with ease! Not sure that did anything off the seam. Just the wrong length and line to try and thrash on the up against the angle 142/7
43.6 knocks him over with an absolute crackerjack! The boy's a star, and Australia have no answers! This is the dream delivery. Probably the ball of the Test so far. Angles in on a back of a length, pitching on middle and off. Snakes away thereafter and Webster, playing for the original line, has no clue the ball will snake past the outside edge. Webster can only watch in disbelief as the ball whistles past and then thunders into the middle and off bail. What a ball. What a bowler, and what a display this has been on day one! 123/5
48.4 edged and snaffled up this time at first slip! Brilliant by Roston Chase, and Australia lose another on the stroke of tea! Back of a length outside off. Carey thinks there is enough width on offer and throws his hands at it. The ball, though, bounces a tad extra than he had accounted for, and flies off the outside edge. Chase tracks the ball all the way and snares a snappy chance to his right. Nice way to redeem himself after the drop earlier in the day, and Australia are in deep trouble heading in to tea! 138/6
54.4 cracked straight to mid-off! Easy catch. Seales points to where he wants Cummins to walk off. Good length, fourth stump, he stays leg side and hammers a drive but doesn't go up or down, just nails it flat to mid-off and Brathwaite takes it waist high 170/9
50.2 edged and pouched by Greaves at second! Around the wicket, perfect length, angled into the top of off, Starc prods on the front foot and gets a thick edge that flies low to Greaves who takes it very easily. Great delivery. Good catch. Australia in dire straits 143/8

56.5 given out caught behind! Only after Hazlewood walked basically. Seales gets the five-for. Brutal short ball that follows Hazlewood as he half ducks and backs away. He gloves it from an awkward position trying to fend it and it's an easy catch for Hope. It was straight off the gloves. Not sure why it took so long to be given out 180/10

4.3 edged and beautifully taken by Webster at second slip! Outstanding delivery, angled seam, pitching on middle and nipping across, he was squared up on the front foot, gets a thick edge and Webster moves low to his left to pouch it 10/1
6.4 feathered through to Carey and Starc, just like that, has two in his opening salvo! On a length outside off and this shapes away beautifully. The length draws Campbell forward into the drive but he is nowhere near the pitch of the ball as he does so. Nicks it through to the keeper, and Starc is thrilled to bits. West Indies two down early in the piece, and under some pressure now! 16/2
15.6 an absolute snorter, and Cummins breaks this threatening-looking stand! On the shorter side outside off and this kicks up out of nowhere. Carty cannot react in time and as a reflex action, fends at it. The ball kisses the shoulder of the bat and then nestles into Carey's gloves. A superb delivery, and Australia have their third! 52/3

26.3 castled shouldering arms! Only two types of leaves and this was a bad one. Good length, tailing in, but it was always tailing in. It didn't move much off the seam, he just misjudged the line out of the hand. He raised the bat high above his head and allowed the ball safe passage to crash into the top of off. It didn't just clip off, it hit it flush and knocked it back 72/5
16.5 cleans him up with a corker, and the night-watcher lasts all of two deliveries! On a length just outside off and this slices back in beautifully. Warrican pokes at it in hope, without really getting to the pitch of the ball, and senses the ball breeze past the inside edge and then into the top of off stump. That ball would have gotten most top order batters out and Warrican, to be completely honest, did not have much of a chance. Australia on the charge! 53/4
49.2 Given lbw. Chase reviews immediately! Back of a length on middle and off and it shoots low as he went back to defend. Chase thinks he got a little inside edge before it thudded into the back pad. It was going to cannon into middle. Ultraedge isn't showing conclusive spikes although there are a couple of smaller ones close together. Adrian Holdstock says there's a clear gap between bat and ball but then wants to rock and roll it a lot. He says there's a spike but there's a gap between bat and ball. He concludes there is no bat involved. Ball tracking has it hitting in line and smashing the top of middle. Chase is out and they lose the review. 139/6
57.3 brilliant one hander from Carey! Caught behind off the inside edge! Webster produces another beauty. Good length, wobble seam, it nips in, catches the inside edge and Carey flings himself full stretch to his left to take but hang on! It sticks in the glove but did part of the ball touch the ground as he fell to the ground? Adrian Holdstock says it's cleanly in the gloves! Part of the ball may have been touching the ground as his glove landed on the ground even though it never came out of the glove. Another contentious decision by the TV umpire. Hope had already left the field of play though. He never hung around which was interesting. 162/8
55.2 caught behind! Webster strikes! Brilliant delivery. Back of a length, wobble seam, it nips and climbs away, he follows with an angled bat playing away from his body and gets a thin nick through to Carey 153/7

58.6 ricochet off the pads, and that will be that for Shamar with the bat this innings! Starc was brought in primarily for this, and he gets a low full toss to slant into Shamar's pads. He looks to flick it away but is late on the stroke, meaning that the ball pin-balls around for a bit before trundling into off stump. Shamar cannot believe what has just happened, but he has to walk back! 171/9
63.2 straight down Webster's throat, and West Indies' lead has been restricted to just ten runs! Lyon dangles the carrot outside off and Seales bites. He gets down on one knee, looking to clobber it over long on but because he has to reach out a little, he hits it flat. Straight to Webster too, and Seales, down on his knee, cannot quite fathom what he has done. Nevertheless, a nuggety last-wicket partnership, and WI will have a slight advantage (in numbers terms) when they walk out in a few minutes' time! 190/10

11.2 chopped on! Konstas' tortured stay finally ends! 142kph, good length, nipping back in a touch, he's caught on the crease defending with an angled bat, it catches the toe of the blade and drops onto the stumps 34/2
8.4 Given lbw! Khawaja reviews. Height will be a query. Back of a length nipping in sharply off the seam, it beat the inside edge as he jumped back to defend. He was hit on the top of the back pad with both feet off the ground. Ball tracking says impact in line and it's umpire's call hitting the bails on top of middle. Fair decision to give that out. Khawaja is out. Australia keep the review 27/1
24.6 nicked and taken at first slip! No need for DRS this time, and Green's vigil has come to an end! This is zipped through on a back of a length just outside off. Green thinks he can cut this away but there is not enough width on offer. Ends up jabbing at it and the ball flies off the outside edge, nestling, thankfully (from a WI POV), in Chase's palms at first slip. West Indies finally hold on to a chance, and Greaves sends Green back for an early shower! 65/4

21.4 oh dear, what have you done, Josh Inglis?! This is on a hard length again, in that probing corridor just outside off. Inglis decides to shoulder arms very early and does not account for the fact that the ball may deck back in. May have kept a little low as well, but like King earlier in the day, this turns out to be an awful leave. Inglis has to go, and Seales has his first this innings! 57/3

52.6 That's out! Pitch plays a nasty trick on Head, floors him and has Shamar celebrappealing. Back-of-length ball landed on fifth, not only seamed back but also shot low. Head looked to hop back and flick it square, missed it and fell on his face. Was hit on the back leg. Rises with a wry smile. Nothing he could've done about that. An opening for WI 167/5
62.6 an appeal for caught down the legside given not out. West Indies review. Full and angled down leg, Webster tries to glance and there's a noise as it passes the bat. UltraEdge shows a clear spike! Webster knew as soon as the review was taken. He started walking off before the TV umpire started the process. An unfortunate way to end a superb innings. A little strangle down leg trying to glance a half-volley 208/6
78.3 Wide line does the trick. Carey reached out to the fullish ball angling away through sixth, tried to launch it over extra. Bat-face turned outwards and he skied it towards long-off. Greaves came in from extra cover and took it low and in front. Good catch 291/9
67.2 skied straight up and Brathwaite takes it! Cummins tries to pull a good length ball that would have hit the top of off, he got it off the toe of the bat and it flew straight up to mid-on. Easy catch for Brathwaite 247/7

0.6 clipped straight to Konstas at backward square! Great placement of the fielder! Full, swinging into leg, he clips this off the pads but it's not under control, it's in the air and Konstas is placed behind square for that exact shot, he dives forward and pouches the catch just above the turf 4/1
10.1 attempted lap scoop goes horribly wrong! Loops a simple catch to Carey. Good length from around the wicket, he's down one knee to lap scoop Hazlewood again, it hits the gloves and pops gently up for Carey to take the catch 47/2
14.4 Seams back to rattle the stumps, Hazlewood has a four-for in 34 balls! That landed on the heart of a good length around off, Carty didn't transfer his weight and tried to defend straight. Had no time to adjust as the ball decked in viciously to go past the inside edge. Bends middle stump a bit and off stump most of the way. Carty shakes his head as he walks back, Hazlewood has his finger up again 56/5
10.2 Green snares this one in the gully! Inside edge onto pad and it loops up for Green to pouch stretching above his head! Good length, nipping in off the seam, gets a little inside edge onto pad and it flies high above Green's head, and with his huge wingspan he leaps high and takes it with two hands. Only he or Webster could have caught that 47/3
12.5 Is that another? Yes. One inside edge pops to gully, the next to short leg. Hazlewood getting the ball to speed off the pitch. Hits a good length, angles it in towards off stump. Nips back a touch. Chase looks to defend towards mid-off from the crease, small gap between bat and pad. He tickles it and it lobs high from above the knee-roll. Konstas takes a couple of steps to his left and gobbles it. 49/4
20.4 Seam in, low bounce, the Joel Garner end continues to topple hapless batters. Cummins hits back of length on fifth stump, angles it in and the seam movement accentuates it. Hope was hopping after standing back, got his bat down to try and defend it, the bat dangled for a bit. It went below and beside the outside edge to hit off stump. 61/6

23.1 Direct hit from Marnus, the sub fielder. Australia are confident as it's sent upstairs. Alzarri slid his bat at the striker's end but isn't close! Was pitched up on fifth, Greaves drove to Marnus' left at mid-off. Alzarri was standing one pitch to the right, slow to take off and ran wide too. 73/7
26.3 Edged, taken at first slip! 13th Test five-for for Hazlewood, he'll want to roll this pitch and take it everywhere. He's all smiles and shows off the ball. Hard length, fourth stump, extra bounce. Warrican was square-on, searching tentatively as he fended with the bat facing mid-on. Ball popped off the outside edge for a highish catch 86/8
33.3 No fifty for Shamar! Edge pops up off the keeper's gloves, Khawaja runs in from slip, takes it and balances himself onto one knee. The shift in line pays off eventually for Lyon. Went wide on a length, Shamar tried to slap it downtown but got done in by extra bounce. Ends his 200-strike-rate innings 141/9
33.4 Bat-pad! Australia end it in the fag end of the day. Lyon darts a length ball in at middle and leg, Seales got on the front foot and tried to defend it straight. Played in front of the body, might've just been the inside edge. Went quickly to Konstas' left, sharp catch by him after the drop earlier. Two in two to finish for Lyon. 141/10
