8.11pm Innings break Australia fold for 225. They lost 7 for 87 under lights after the dinner break in just 18.3 overs. There was some pretty loose batting there although it was challenging and perhaps they surmised that quick runs were a better option than trying to grit through given the swing and seam movement. We'll see when they bowl how good a score that is. Remember they have left Lyon out of the XI and have four quicks to pepper West Indies with. Shamar Joseph finishes with four wickets. Smith and Green were the key contributors with the bat but they also batted in the best conditions in the afternoon after the openers absorbed 16 overs against the new ball and before the lights took affect.
Bee: "Based on the length of time the two West Indies openers have been off the field. Can they open the batting, once they are fit enough to do so?" We're not quite sure. Campbell should be able to given his was an external blow. Louis is slightly different given it was a knee injury. We'll know shortly.
Mark: "Khawaja, Konstas, Green all wasted the first session and a bit. Should've played more aggressively, even if we got the same or lesser score, would've had more time to bowl in this 3rd session" Lots of criticism of Australia's top three. Batting was really hard against the new ball in the afternoon. There's a case to be made they have set up a decent score by avoiding another top-order collapse. Time will tell. We'll see how West Indies do with the bat.
