India finish with 358 ... not a bad score in what has been pretty bowling-friendly conditions. Expect England to come out bazballing? We'll see in about ten minutes. Alan will be here to take you through to tea.

Archer to Bumrah, OUT, short of a length and down the leg side, Bumrah tries to swing towards long leg and misses ... hang on are England reviewing for a caught behind? Yes they have. The ball was a fair way away from the body as Bumrah swivelled and swung and ultra edge shows a little spike as the ball passes the glove! Archer has dismissed a right-hander for the first time in the series ... and that's the end of India's innings. I think Root was the one behind that review, Archer wasn't so interested.

Stokes to Mohammed Siraj, no run, bowled full down leg side, Siraj fails to connect with the glance, Smith dives to his left to take it

Archer to Pant, OUT, bowled him! Just like the second innings at Lord's, the off stump takes a walk as Pant tries to defend from the crease but is late on it and is beaten by movement away from him. Archer pitched that on a length from around the wicket and got the ball to seam away after angling into the left-hander. Pant gets a round of applause from the crowd and a pat from the last man Siraj ... it's been quite something to watch, him batting with a broken foot

Pete: "I was there in the sparse MCG crowd hoping Australia could knock over Smith and South Africa as they reeled in the target. Everyone went home deeply moved by his courage, not least the Australian bowlers who dutifully tried their utmost to get him out more cheaply."
