4.20pm: Hello again. Vish has scrambled off to write up that harum-scarum half hour, and England's batters will be out shortly to face up for what could be an uncomfortable mini-session. Having had Pakistan 177 for 7, England would have been expecting to get a first-innings lead - instead the deficit is a ticklish 77 on a pitch that has rarely proved easy for batting, despite the magnificent efforts of Saud Shakeel and the lower-order wise guys. As Danyal wrote on day one, if Noman don't get you, Sajid must (although I don't think he was referring to their batting at the time)

Rehan Ahmed to Zahid Mahmood, OUT, Bowls him with a wrong-un! Rehan gets his fourth but, most importantly, Pakistan all out for 344 with a lead of 77. Sajid Khan left unbeaten on an outstanding 48 as the leggie beats bat and pad with a perfect delivery to a No.11 who can't bat.

Atkinson to Saud Shakeel, OUT, Short ball does the trick finally... And it's Saud Shakeel, caught at midwicket, misjudging for the first time! He was unsure whether to defend or go through with the pull shot and ends up popping up a catch. A fantastic knock comes to an end, one which began with Pakistan 46 for 3 and ends with his side leading by 70 almost 24 hours later. A true epic
