13.6 Noman gets his man! Noman floats one up outside off, Crawley reaches for a drive, presumably trying to blaze silly point out of the way, but ends up skewing an edge high to gully! 56/1
25.5 pinned on the ankle, gone! Duckett looks up in disgust as Sharfuddoula raises his finger - again he won't bother wasting a review. This bounced so low it almost went underground! Minimal turn, rapped in front of middle and off. Probably don't need ball-tracking for this one 98/4
18.5 Pope sweeps, hit on the front pad... given! He reviews instantly, but I'm not sure how confidently. The angles need to be perfect for Sajid to have hit him in line and be going on to take leg stump - and they are! Low bounce helped the cause, as Pope played over the ball. Would have crashed into leg halfway up. Sajid gets his man for the third time in a row 70/2
20.6 ripping turn, Root is salmon! I was about to say the spin hadn't been excessive, but then Sajid rags one back from wide of off and completely flummoxes England's best player of spin. He was back in the crease, about at plumb as you could be as the ball rattled into his pads. Up went Chris Gaffaney's finger and Root won't bother to review, walks off with a resigned look on his face. Middle of middle, says ball-tracking 80/3
26.4 bowled 'im behind the legs! Sajid wins his mini-duel with Harry Brook, whose average in Pakistan drops into mere Bradman territory. Two forward defensives, two attempted sweeps... no luck for Brook, who misjudged the line as he went across and saw leg stump rattled 98/5
32.1 Sajid gets Stokes! Well, that hasn't taken long. Outside off, turn away as Stokes lunges forward into a drive through the covers. Not quite to the pitch of the ball, but a decent connection that requires an excellent catch from Salman Agha at first slip, moving sharply to his left 118/6
62.3 slog-swept but goes straight up - gottim! Smith won't be getting a century but it's been a fine knock, nevertheless. Cleverly done by Zahid and his captain, deterring Smith from hitting straight and then tossing the ball up wide of off. Smith tried to drag across the line but only got a big top edge, which Rizwan settled underneath. Pakistan fans can breathe again after a brutal counter 241/8
59.4 miscued back to the bowler, Noman does the job! Sticks in the pitch a touch and Atkinson's loose prod going back is gratefully accepted. Pakistan break the stand just as it was beginning to assume menacing proportions 223/7
66.2 Gone! Charges again, but Sajid pulls his length back to spin one through and upset the timber, and that's five wickets for the off spinner! His second since his recall last Test, and third overall. Outstanding from the 31-year-old 258/9
68.2 No matter! Leach runs past a slower, shorter delivery from Sajid and Rizwan completes the stumping to give Sajid figures of 6 for 128. England all out for 267! Is that a good score? Who knows. I suppose we're about to find out... 267/10

9.3 sharp turn, trapped in front! Given on field as Bashir goes off on a Broad-esque celebrappeal. Shafique has reviewed but he'll need a slice of luck, you feel. Yep, he's plumber than the Mario brothers as the ball ragged back into him, beating the inside edge as he tried to defend. Would have smashed into middle stump. England have the breakthrough! 35/1
12.1 tries to come down, chipped to short midwicket! The drinks break, plus the change in tactics, dislodges Ayub immediately. Looked like he was done by the flight and a little turn, but he pushed well out in front and just squirted the ball off the inside half of the bat to one of two men in front of square. Leach among them now, England delighted 43/2
35.2 Gone! Another Masood lunge with an angled bat, this time he doesn't get away with it! Brilliantly taken by Ollie Pope who is close enough in at second slip to require a helmet. England have their first of the day, and it's a captain! 99/4
13.4 bowled through the gate! Stokes' Midas touch again. Atkinson only takes four balls bowling wicket-to-wicket to get one to shoot through low and Ghulam is castled. Off stump rattled halfway up, and we have the first wicket to fall to a seamer today 46/3
95.6 Short ball does the trick finally... And it's Saud Shakeel, caught at midwicket, misjudging for the first time! He was unsure whether to defend or go through with the pull shot and ends up popping up a catch. A fantastic knock comes to an end, one which began with Pakistan 46 for 3 and ends with his side leading by 70 almost 24 hours later. A true epic 337/9
49.3 flighted, spinning down the line, Rizwan sweeps but ends up in a heap - given out lbw! He eventually decides to review, though doesn't look overly confident. No bat from the looks of it, playing well over the top as the ball shot through low. Hit on the back pad, dead in front of middle and off! Three reds, and Rizzy's brown bread! Rehan strikes in his second over of the day 151/5
51.5 full and flighted, spins past the bat to hit the back leg - given! Salman reviews this time, and it's going to be tight on off stump, I think. He's definitely played around the ball, was it in line? Yes, just! Umpire's call on impact and the stumps: Gaffaney raises his finger again. Rehan has another and Pakistan are behind the 8-ball in Spindi 155/6
57.6 googly, chopped on! Rehan's turning the game in Spindi! A compelling intervention from the legspinner, he's picked up his third of the innings. He gave this some air wide of off stump, the line suggested a wrong'un but even then Jamal wasn't sure quite what to do. Pushed his hands out at the last moment, the ball clipping the inside edge, then bouncing gently back into middle and leg 177/7
83.1 pinned on the back foot, Noman's done! Up goes Gaffaney's finger, Bashir punching the air and roaring in celebration. It's been a fantastic fighting knock from Noman but the new ball has prised him out. Shouldn't have gone back and he knew it, the ball skidding to hit him on the knee roll as he missed with a swish across the line. England have the eighth wicket, and still in the lead (just) 265/8

96.4 Bowls him with a wrong-un! Rehan gets his fourth but, most importantly, Pakistan all out for 344 with a lead of 77. Sajid Khan left unbeaten on an outstanding 48 as the leggie beats bat and pad with a perfect delivery to a No.11 who can't bat. 344/10

5.1 Crawley now plays around the arm ball - given! Gaffaney is convinced, Crawley less so, and he reviews as Pakistan celebrate. Thumped on the shin, big gap between bat and ball. I don't think this is missing leg... Pow, right in the kisser! Three reds for Crawley, hitting leg stump flush. Noman has his man once again, four dismissals in a row for the left-armer 15/2
4.2 slow his pace, beats him on the inside... Sharfuddoula shakes his head but Sajid is already signalling this is out. Pakistan review, and I reckon only an inside edge can save him. Nope, he's clearly missed the ball, struck on the back pad and it would have torpedoed middle! The piratical Sajid pins Duckett to the mainsail and Pakistan are on the hunt here 15/1
7.6 big outside edge, snaffled at slip! Noman has another and Pakistan are all over England in the gloaming. Fright night in Pindi, and the end of a horror tour for Pope. This bounced sharply as he looked to defend on the front foot, clipped the shoulder of the bat and looped into Salman's grateful paws 20/3
27.6 HUGE wicket! Noman Ali bags Joe Root for another five wicket haul! It's a delivery he's bowled plenty this morning, slowed down, dipping on off stump, spinning enough. No batter has been good enough to nick them - until Root! 85/7
19.4 Brook nicks behind! Quicker than the previous delivery - 87.8kph compared to 75.8kph - Brook plays late with a straight-bat-cut but can only edge through to Rizwan! Feels like a big wicket, that, with Pakistan's lead whittled down to 11 66/4
21.2 What an awful leave! Stokes, what are you doing?! Norman tosses one up, and Stokes presses forward and... doesn't bring his bat down, holding it above his head presumably expecting the ball to head down the leg side. But it's on with the arm and the umpire's finger goes up almost immediately after it hits the left-hander. The England captain has cursory look at Root for a review but off he walks. That was... awful 70/5
24.5 Bowled 'im! The slow tempter does it, as Smith charges with an ungainly hack and is beaten through the air with delivery that's held back and spins inside a wild swing of the bat to take off stump! Smart bowling, pretty rogue batting 75/6
32.1 timbeeeeeeeeerrrr... Sajid cleans him up! Big-turning offbreak and Atkinson plays all around it, the ball veering back to rattle middle and leg stumps. Third of the innings for Sajid and ninth of the match. Pakistan closing in 97/8
34.2 bowled behind his legs, Sajid has ten-for! Another fatal misjudgement from an England batter against spin. Moved a long way across looking to sweep, failed to get anything on it and turned to see the ball hitting middle and leg. Majestic from Saj 106/9
37.2 lured out of his ground, Rizwan does the rest! Lovely bowling from Noman, a helium-filled hand grenade wide of off and Leach is nowhere near it. Pakistan have a few runs to knock off, but this game is as good as done 112/10
