2:33pm A stuttering innings that was held together by the skipper. Raza came in with Zimbabwe stagnating after the powerplay, and with the score reading 39-2, and he has done a decent job to get them past the 140-run mark. He found support from Burl, who produced a vital cameo, although the hosts, given Raza was at the crease during the final over, would have probably wanted a few more on the board, despite this being their third-highest T20I total against South Africa.
Speaking of South Africa, they will be pleased with their bowling effort. Burger and Ngidi bowled well with the new ball, with the former also producing an excellent 18th over that only went for four. Linde was the other standout bowler, giving away just ten runs in his three overs and bagging three wickets. That he also bowled the final over, only highlights how brilliant he was. The Proteas will be fancying their chances of knocking off this chase, although they will be mindful of this pitch probably not being as conducive to stroke-play. Join us in a bit for the second innings!
Ryan Burl: (On what was said during his partnership with Raza) Guilty of few too many dots up front. We had to find a way to reverse momentum. I said if we can run really, really hard to the sweepers, we can find boundaries along the way and then go hard at the end. It (the pitch) was a little bit on the slower side, a lower (from one end). Probably (our score is) a bit under-par. We have defended lower targets here before, and will be trying to do that again. Will be trying to take a leaf out of their book. Lungi and Nandre bowled really well up front, sticking to their plan and bowling back of a length (asking the batters to take on the square boundaries).
Hat-trick ball coming up. Masakadza on strike. Over the wicket

Munyonga to try his luck now. Does he take the single and get his captain back on strike, or does he look for the big hit? Let's find out
T Musekiwa c Hendricks b Linde 9 (10m 8b 1x4 0x6) SR: 112.5
Right. 150 still very much on the cards. Do SA go for Simelane? Or do they take a punt on spin? Looks like it will be the latter, with Linde to bowl. Around the wicket

Stays around the wicket to Raza
Just four off the 18th, but SA will have to bowl either a spinner or Simelane for one of these two remaining overs. Bosch for now

Mustafa Moudi: "Sikandar Raza is Evergreen Player. No matter what, he always stands for his teams, whether Zimbabwe or League Teams. Dont know how will Zimbabwe fill his void once he retires !!"
