Excellent recovery from Pakistan as Fakhar Zaman rose to the occasion and played a very sensible knock. He found the perfect foil in Mohammad Nawaz, who hung around and provided the much-needed impetus to the innings. UAE will rue their fielding lapses and losing their way in the last five overs. They had Pakistan on the hook for most of the innings but the visitors navigated their way through choppy waters to post a defendable total. Haider Ali was phenomenal today as were Muhammad Rohid and Dhruv Parashar but the bowlers were let down by sloppy fielding. Also, too many full-tosses and loose bowling at death tilted the balance of the game in Pakistan's favor. But as we all know, in this format, anything can happen. We'll be back with UAE's reply shortly. Stay tuned!

Mamoon: "Two simple catches and the score could have been 135 i/o 170, that's what really differentiates big teams vs emerging teams, and is something Pakistan will always be tested against when playing against bigger opponents even if they win this match or pump their chest that we scored 170...."

Bilal: "Not sure how to feel about this performance. It was great individual brilliance from Fakhar and Nawaz in an otherwise subpar batting performance against an associate side. Still a lot of work for the "intent" era."

Anjan: "42 runs of the last two overs. Talk about the acceleration!"

Khurram lal : "Definitely experience matters, UAE lost the plot through sloppy fielding and a bit of inexperience. "

Muzammil Shaikh: "Zeeshan Pakistan has scored 180+ 7 times in their last 18 t20 Internationals without RizBa AR compared to 38 matches for the same achievement when RizBabar were part of the t20 squad. They have been faltering along though but given confidence and proper backing like RizBabar were given there are good chances this team of youngsters will flourish"
